Shared the honey chicken bites and fish and chips. Both pretty good and would get again. Also, the cocktails Allyson had made we're good as well. Will definitely visit again and try new things.

I've is my favorite places in City Centre. Great stuff and food. Have a great happy hour for food and drinks. Practice social distancing very clean and AT NIGHT great music. Very well priced considering most places around here are very expensive. Great to grab a burger. My favorite are the loaded tots and cauliflower shrimp and grits!

Great atmosphere, great waiter and delicious crab hushpuppies. Highly recommended the crab hushpuppies.

3 stars for the price and options during happy hour but there was only one server for the entire bar which was swamped. Server did his best but took more than 20 minutes to get part of our order. Never got the rest of it.

The General Public is located in City Centre near Sweet Paris. It's a chill American bar with good food and a wide selection on their drink menu. You can get a feel of the classy ambience as soon as you step inside. We were greeted by the host who was very nice and said he would get a table for 8 set up as soon as possible. The wait was quick and we were seated at the high table with a nice view of the place.

The menu offers appetizers, salads, and various choices of sandwiches. We went with the fish and chips, enchiladas, and grilled cheese sandwich with fries. The fish and chips was my favorite. The outside of the fried fish was fried just right with a nice crispy layer. The inside was soft and the fish just melts in your mouth. It also came with large side of fries that was crunchy and not too salty.

The enchiladas were a good portion as an appetizer and nicely flavored. The grilled cheese sandwich was crunchy on the outside with a bit of spice because of the jalapeƱos between the melted cheese layer. You have an option of choosing fries or a salad as your side. The waitress was friendly and made us feel welcomed. Overall, a great atmosphere to grab food and have a few drinks. The place is classy but still casual and chill at the same time.

The service was great and the atmosphere is great for an intimate brunch/lunch. I miss their special brunch menu with French toast but the caesar salad with grilled shrimp was a great second choice. We started with the tater tots and today's topping with Sriracha chicken was a tasty delight.

I wait until after a minimum 3 visits to write a review*. Service, plating, taste and quality of food has all been consistent. The wait staff is attentive. All menu items I've tried to date are freshly prepared and cooked to order which I greatly appreciate. You can taste the freshness of the herbs & ingredients in all dishes. The Ceasar salad & dressing took no shortcuts. The flaky cod basket was sinful. Although this is a "bar & grill" there's nothing typical about the menu. I love the small but diverse menu with creative options for the healthnut and the carb-demon living inside me, lol. The food taste like the chef loves his craft and the brigade is personally committed to making each dish great. You dont get a barrage of pre-cooked and frozen quick fixes but a focus on select dishes with alot of personal touches for an elevated happy hour or dining experience. I always say "You can't rush greatness" so expect a 15-25 min wait for fresh entrees but I easily fill the time with an appetizer, drink and conversation.

I visited on a Thursday night for dinner while at the City Center. We were seated right away by a friendly hostess, and our server attended to us just a few minutes after that. The ambience was nice and chill with an overall calming effect. We had crab hushpuppies as our starter which were delicious. Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and served with sweet maple butter. The mezcal mule cocktail had a smoky flavor which I thoroughly enjoyed. The good life margarita was nice and strong too. Our entrees were Pork & greens and Shrimp & grits. The pork was tender and flavorful and served with nice flaky cornbread and kale. The "grits" are actually cauliflower. I was a bit hesitant, but decided to try it out. I could tell it was cauliflower, but it was creamy and delicious, and complemented the grilled shrimp really well. No regrets!

Great food. Great service. Drinks are on the sweet side but still tasty. Every food item we ordered was amazing. The bartender even have free shots to the restaurant for just being customers. Amazing, will definitely be back.

Parking nearby may be a challenge. Better luck parking in garage and walking. Empanadas had ground beef and veggies, and the breading to filling ratio is off. The green chili grill cheese is delicious. Chicken might not be necessary during lunch. Barkeep Natatlia is great, cocktails on point. I would return
