3 🌟 🌟 🌟 stars because the restaurant, The General Public was nice inside. No one had on mask. The server had the worst chipped nail polish on her nails. So bad, I wouldn't order anything to drink and the straws were not wrapped. We stayed for the $10 lunch specials. We ate our food which was also average. The staff just appeared bored and unbrothered. We went once.
The 3 stars were because the lettuce wraps & fish were both good.

When Happy Hour is REALLY a Happy Hour! This has got to be one of the best happy hours in Houston! I brought my friends to try them out and we had a great time here! Our bartender Allyson was such a doll! She took good care of us. David, the manager, also checked in to make sure we were having a good time. I’d absolutely come back and bring more people
The sliders were seasoned perfectly! (I love that they weren’t salty and they were dressed too!) I also liked that it wasn’t only basic drink option but other sig cocktails available to choose from. I’m a fan.

I absolutely adored my brunch here! 15/10! They have $1 mimosas and their food is fairly priced and absolutely delicious. Their brunch ends @2:30 and there wasn’t a crazy wait time. We were seated right away. I will be back again. I ordered the meat and cheese board, the ribeye steak sandwich, and my friend ordered their shrimp and grits and my god, it was *chefs kiss*. The staff were so sweet to us. Overall, amazing experience

It’s so worth to go during happy hour. We got three bites and 5 cocktails for only $26+.

This place gets better and better everytime!
Special thank you to Devon W. for your awesome service and great food recommendations. I will definitely request him as my waitress the next time I stop by! His sweet, fun-loving personality made for such a great experience. We were even introduced to the new dessert trio on the menu. So tasty!
The Cheesecake Cup gave super sweet, fruity and smooth.
The Toffee Brownie Cup gave Rich, Crunchy, Creamy, Chocolatey
The Chia Parfait was a Nutty, Refreshing yet Tangy Mouth Explosion.
The Cheesecake was my FAVE!!

Great service. The food is okay. Our waitress made this whiskey drink with a wine floater, that was really good! Happy hour is where it’s at! I’ll try that next time

If I could give this establishment 10 stars I would not blink and eye nor hesitate to do such. From the moment we walked in until the time we left the atmosphere and service were so smooth that we didn’t realize we were enjoying ourselves for so long. The ambiance is very mellow and inviting with the colorful decor and rhythmic host/hostess. We were entertained by Miguel who was training whilst being our server. He was perfect in both aspects so the guy he trained should be a pro by the end of his teaching. All of selections were made to perfection and the flavor is robust and leaves you wanting more. I HIGHLY recommend Miguel if you are looking for an attentive, upbeat, and prompt server who can help you select the perfect entree for you. We have never experienced service like this and we will be back.

I enjoyed the drinks and the food is good! I will definitely be going back. If you're looking for a good happy hour or somewhere to eat with friends, this is a great place to go.

8:36pm Saturday, Aug 6, 2022, on my way to work I called to order a salad. The only menu item close to what I wanted was the Shrimp & Avocado Salad ($16.45). I ask the lady that answered the phone if I may substitute the shrimp for the honey fried chicken (11.95) and please add extra tomatoes and cucumbers. She politely said yes, no problem and told me it would be about 20 mins. Being a tipper, while waiting I decided to go to the bank to withdraw cash to pay for my food. Once inside TGP, I told the hostess my name and she said go to the bar, as I approached the bar a female bartender wearing all black noticed me and said my name, I replied yes. Shortly after a female wearing a white coat gave me a bag with my items and said the order was $38 and change. Completely stunned by the price of a salad, I questioned why so much, she replied they were unable to substitute the shrimp for the chicken. Again, stunned by this, I replied I was not informed of the upcharge, in a downgrade of the protein from shrimp to chicken. She replied sorry we are not able to do. I have her $40 cash, as she gave me the change, I was so troubled, yet not wanting to cause a scene, I simply left. When I got to work and opened the bag, I cried. The chicken was burned, and the salad greens were wilted, I could not believe this salad was almost $40. I will never order from TGP again, nor would I recommend this establish. I was forced to give 1 star in order to post this review.

First time visit and was very pleased. They have a $10 menu that was perfect. Fish & Chips was the bomb! Had my first French pressed coffee and it was totally worth the price. Coffee was rich and hot, thank you!
