Cozy and air conditioned house-turned-coffee shop with some really great spaces to work. Coffees have many Latin American variations with some (slightly pricey $9) tamales and other food for sale.

This coffee house has a relaxed and homey vibe inside. The two staff members were very nice. One was either in training or having an off day as she asked for my order three times. She was very sweet though. It was confusing as to whether they were bringing our beverages to us or if we were getting them ourselves.
Parking can be tight and there is a church across the street that has an interesting attending group. While having a coffee outside the police were called to the church and a fight broke out. Overall I still felt safe but, would recommend sitting inside.

Such a cozy and delicious spot to stop at. Vegan tamales!! Cozy seating spots, a charming converted house with original wood floors, tasty coffee, and quick and friendly service. Repeatable for sure.

Meh. The atmosphere is nice, the outdoor patio was fine and the barista super nice! I wanted an horchata but it has peanut (why??), so being allergic to peanuts I ordered hot chocolate (Mexican style, my first times trying it): it tasted very watered down, and extremely sweet… maybe that’s how is supposed to be, but I didn’t like it. They had empanadas, marranitos and other pastries, but they didn’t look fresh or appetizing. Aside from the sweet and attentive barista, I didn’t see the appeal of this place. I don’t think I will won’t be coming back soon.

So many places try to get the atmosphere of a relaxed coffee house but this place actually gets it right. Genuine antique furniture, little half-open rooms so everyone can have privacy. Drinks served in actual mugs instead of cheap plastic cups like everywhere else. Affordable too! Coffees are $3-5, not $7 for a plastic cup of mostly ice like many places. I got the guava empanada and Maya mocha latte, which was delicious and unique. Gal working the counter was super helpful.

My favorite coffee shop inside the loop. Very cozy place to get some work done during the day. Their Mexican inspired menu is really good, specially their cafe de olla and campesino cafe con leche . They also sometimes have pan dulce for sale.

After visiting for the first time yesterday, my sister and I were trying to figure out what was so great about this place. Aside from the incredible coffee and selection of unique flavors both in the drinks and food, the atmosphere at Campesino is just perfect. She and I were discussing how it’s difficult to find a coffee shop that is unpretentious and cozy, but they hit it right on the nose. Staff very kind and chill. Good music but not played so loudly that you can’t focus. Nice decor and plenty of seating both inside and out. Also the Cuban coffees and guava pastries are something I haven’t found much of since leaving Florida. Definitely will be coming back for good coffee, good food, and a great place to study or hang out with friends.

Great coffee shop that still has an old house feel and chill atmosphere.
Stopped in on a beautiful day while I was in the area anyway and was pleased with my experience in this coffee shop. The menu situation right now is a little bit of a pain because there only appeared to be one menu available for viewing, and the people in front of me were very indecisive. No problem though, if there is any place you should chill, it’s here. :-)
There are lots of nooks and crannies to be seated here, both indoors and out. There is also parking available.
I appreciated that they had a social distance setup at the cash register for sure.
I ordered, I think, the Campesino Cafe Con Leche which was a cafe con leche also with cinnamon added. It was delicious for sure.
I hope to make it back here again another time.

Looked up a spot to sit and get some work done while visiting Houston and this came recommended. And it was great! Staff were very nice and coffee was delicious. Plenty of space to sit. Most everyone in there was working too. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!
