Shoo-Fly Soda Shop

Fun place for locals to drag tourists like myself. I've never had a hand-spun soda, or a phosphate! Was an incredible treat and the staff was very friendly and patient. We saw that long-haired Church of the SubGenius guy walking around in there looking at the gee-gaws.

Wonderful service and atmosphere! Best Soda I've ever had. They let me mix strawberry and coconut and I'll now crave them forever. A must stop if visiting Glen Rose.

Love this place. We come every time we come to Glen Rose. It's one of my absolute favorite towns in Texas.

Great old time soda fountain will make you a Coke or dr. Pepper with syrup and seltzer just like the old days.Great milkshakes and great diner food . Try the tator tots with chilli and cheese. Shop is located in town square of beautiful Glen Rose. They have all kinds of unique things to purchase.

Best strawberry malt I had in a while

This is just like an old time soda shop! They make all of the classics....sodas, ice cream sodas, shakes, floats, etc. They also have a great collection of classic candy and toys for kids. There is a lot to look at so give yourself some time. The staff is super friendly as well!

Five stars isn’t enough for Shoo Fly. We love this place. Great owners and staff. Even after we moved away from Glen Rose we always come back just to stop in here. Plus my wife loves their boutique.

Must go visit if you are in the area. We had lunch which was yummy. Grilled cheese and egg salad sandwiches were amazing. Staff is super friendly. Cute shop to look around and bought candy treats and amazing chocolate covered strawberries.

This place is cool, it's like a step back in time. It has a lot of local souvenirs, but we were there for lunch. They have a old fashioned soda and ice cream bar that you can sit at and order. Hand made shakes and fresh waffle cones. Great place to take a break from touring the town.

We had the moon pie sundae and the s'mores sundae. Both were delicious. Neither of us were able to finish the amount of ice cream we were given (which is not a bad thing 😅).

We unfortunately did not purchase any of the food, but we will be sure to do that the next time we come.

Staff were very friendly and held a nice conversation with us. They even told us about some upcoming menu items they are working on for the summer. Very exciting stuff!

Not only do they sell food items, but they have a built-in boutique too. They have many fun varieties in jellies, wax for wax warmers, candles, clothing, candies, and many other items to browse.

Did I also mention that they make their own waffle cones fresh? It truly makes all the difference.

I highly suggest stopping by at least once to experience the place. I know we will be coming back the next time we are in town to see what all they've added to the menu.
