So for a place called Java Ranch, I’d think they’d have actual baristas that practice skill. But no. They have fully automatic espresso machines where drinks are made at the push of a button. But it was convenient and I was there, so I proceeded to order.

I had a ice honey vanilla latte easy on the sweetner. I was in the mood for something sweet and figured this one would be pretty reliable and it was. It was very good. But I would NOT order hot coffee or anything like that here. Why would I when what they are serving is done at the push of a button! I love a good handcrafted cappuccino. But this would have been purely machine crafted. Not the same.

The facility itself is a descent size. One of the more accessible friendly and stops on main.

Evidently there are “newer” owners of Java ranch. It certain is not the same. It’s taken over 25 minutes just to get 2 large cups of coffee to go. In the barista’s defense, he was the only person working. It’s going downhill.

Nope...never again. We stopped at this coffee shop today attracted by the wonderful aroma of coffee coming from the front door while we were visiting Fredericksburg. The line inside was ridiculous but we decided to give it a try anyway. We saw the QR codes all over and ordered online hoping to get our coffee faster. Bad mistake. After half an hour of waiting we asked at the counter and they pointed two paper cups that were sitting there for a long while, no name on them. One was empty and the rude girl at the register said we could fill it ourselves since it was a plain brewed coffee. The other cup was supposed to be my espresso shot. The only problem is that they dumped half cup of ice on it. Why? Why??? 🙄🤯
Of course I had to ask to remake it hot, as it is supposed to be.
Girl... call the customers when their coffees are ready or just get another job please.
The place is cute inside, very country style

Sunday morning coffee run on Labor day weekend. Long line but the team worked quickly. They were friendly and the ice mocha were very good. Very cozy with interesting items to see and read.

A line can form easily, but the service is still very fast. Coffee prices are reasonable, pastry prices are a tad on the high side. Yet both are delicious. Nice atmosphere, plenty of seating. Recommend.

Delicious coffee and great customer service! I got an iced dirty chai with oat milk and I’ve never had a better one elsewhere! They use small crushed ice; it’s a game changer.

The cinnamon rolls are delicious! We also had bacon, egg and cheese croissant which was made fresh. The croissant was so delicate and perfect for a breakfast. We ate it before I could take a picture!

The java ranch was a really great and cozy place to get some coffee and drinks. The staff was helpful and tentative. The prices were good and the drinks tasted great. I always enjoy supporting small companies like this who serve great products. Good experience overall and would definitely be going back when I come to Fredericksburg and passing through. I would also recommend this to family and friends.

Popped in for a cup of coffee and a snack while walking around Main Street. I got a drip coffee, which you get yourself from a selection of of coffees in carafes and an apple strudel. The coffee was very good and the pastry was what you'd expect, not as great as a bakery but it hit the spot.

The staff was good and was helpful during ordering. The cafe is cute and what I'd imagine a cafe in Fredericksburg would look like, rustic and country with lots of wood and a very relaxing and inviting vibe. There are plenty of seating options from booths to tables and plenty of space to get work done if you wanted. I would recommend Java Ranch to anyone looking for a coffee shop in Fredericksburg.

Needed some coffee, read other reviews and decided this was the place.
Grabbed 2 vanilla lattes (one iced, one hot), a hot chocolate, sausage kolaches, apple fritter, and a giant cinnamon roll.
Definitely recommend!
