Darlin’s Diner

Found this place a month ago while on a business trip to San Antonio with a friend. Could not resist stopping by again to have good food, good coffee, and some excellent service! A must stop location!

Stopped off at this place coming back to Houston. Enjoyed the atmosphere and super friendly staff. Food was excellent. The Espresso Machine was perfect.

Lunch menu consists of sandwiches and salads; good but pricey for lunch.

Had lunch here for the first time and it was delicious! Great burger with all the fixings! The seasoned fries were crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. A fairly simple menu, but the food was good and the service was fast and friendly. I recommend.

Was excited to try this place out because of all the great reviews but it was a letdown. It’s a very cute place. But our food came out cold, they took it back, popped it in the microwave and gave it back to us. A fresh, hot plate would’ve been nice but okay. My husband’s chicken fried steak was extremely salty. He said the saltiest thing he’s ever tasted. $20 plate, and it was hardly edible. No one ever came to check back on us. Super disappointing and way too over priced for the poor quality of food and lack of service. We won’t be back.

This place is a jewel located halfway between San Antonio and Houston. We liked it so much we visited it again on our return trip.

When you come in go to the front counter to order.... we didn't know there are no signs saying such. When we finally realiz d we had to go up to the counter to order our Food took over an hour to get to us. When it did our food was cold I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. The gravy was so bland it tasted like water and flour.... My suggestion if your looking for some bites in Flatonia find somewhere else to go.

The owner is very friendly putting up with us twice in one day. Food was really good . I would recommend stopping here if ever in Flatonia.

OMGoodness! An absolutely awesome, must visit, eat at diner. Taylor, the owner, is such a young delightful girl! The coffee is rich/delicious/hot-Taylor said they make it-blend of 3 coffees. We ate breakfast several days-it was delicious and served so exquisite. My husband stated his omelette was the best he has ever had. My pancakes were as large as the plate, scalloped around the edges so pretty to look at, light, fluffy and SO good. What a surprise - my oatmeal, a large bowl was topped in 1/4 sections with brown sugar, blueberries, granola and strawberries!!!! Please, do you yourself a FAVOR and go to Darlin’s Diner, Flatonia,Tx.!

Absolutely delicious and adorable place!! The food is super yummy with tons of options. I ordered an iced coffee and then had to order a second one because it was that yummy! Wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. Would highly recommend!
