Mescalito is one of the best coffee shops I’ve visited, full stop. The coffee is great, thoughtfully sourced and always brewed/prepared well. I always get a pour over so I can indulge a bit, but their cappuccinos are fantastic as well. My wife prefers the sweeter versions of everything (like the popular “sweet cream whatever”), and the baristas fixed her drink up perfectly to suit her taste. The food and pastries are good, they’ve got great merch, the people are friendly, the place is clean and comfortable. For you coffee fans, get a bag of their whole bean coffee when you leave to drink at home and you’ll see what I mean. Great place; I’m glad it’s around.

Love the atmosphere, vibe, and ultimately, the coffee! After the batista graciously offered me a sample of their Easy Drifter blend of coffee, my assumptions were affirmed. I then rushed home after purchasing a bag of their Night Rider blend and brewed a V60. Awesome cup and flavor profile! I would indeed recommend and be back for more.

Wow , the reviews were not exaggerating about this place serving amazing coffee! Came here for the first time as I’m in town for work, and I had one of the best Cafe Late (with oat milk) I’ve had. Definitely recommend and also nice shop inside. You can tell they care and want the best for their customers.

I was excited to try this place while on a mini getaway. It's less than average, at best. There are no prices on the menu, which is pretty annoying. I ended up paying $8 for a medium sized sub par coffee, which had I known the prices before hand, I never would have ordered it. I ordered a kolache, which was the highlight of the trip. It was good, but they asked me if I wanted it warmed up, and I said yes. I guess they forgot, so I just ate it cold because everything they did took a lot of time, it was impossible to get anyone's attention, and I didn't feel like waiting another 10-15 minutes. My son ordered a macaroon and loved it. We wanted to sit and enjoy our food and drinks, but there were only 3 or 4 tables, so we ended up taking them to-go. I wouldn't come here again unless it was the only coffee shop open.
2 medium coffees, a kolache and macaroon was $25+.

My favorite coffee shop in Brenham. Great coffee, excellent scones, really nice people. As an added bonus, you can browse the store in the back — Ballad of the Bird Dog — while your coffee is being made.

Wonderful coffee! All my friends enjoyed their drinks and snacks as well.

I ordered an iced chai with vanilla and whole milk, without a doubt the best chai i have ever had. A little pricey, but it was alright! My friend ordered a golden milk tea but unfortunately she wasn't a fan of it. Regardless, this place was so cute and I can't wait to come back!

Mescalito is a must-visit coffee shop located on the square of Historic Downtown Brenham, TX. Whether you're a local or visiting our town you won't be disappointed by the quality of service, coffee, and pastries.
The baristas at Mescalito are friendly and knowledgeable about their craft, making each visit feel personal and welcoming. Each cup is made with care and precision to ensure a delicious and satisfying experience. My personal favorite is a Dirty Chai with oat milk and pump of vanilla. The pastries provided by To Pieces Bake Shop are excellent, high quality, and you can’t make a bad choice.
The atmosphere at Mescalito is inviting, and has plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors. The decor is a perfect mix of modern and rustic, with charming details. For tourists, Mescalito is a great spot to experience the local flavor of Brenham. It's conveniently located on the square, making it a perfect stop on a day of exploring downtown. For locals, it's a go-to spot for catching up with friends, getting some work done or reading a book while enjoying their tasty offerings.
In summary, Mescalito is a gem of a coffee shop that offers top-notch service, coffee, and pastries in a charming and inviting atmosphere. It's a must-visit for anyone in the Brenham area.

Delicious chai, outside at the front of the shop is a great place to sit and appreciate the beautiful square of Brenham, the wait staff were not overly friendly and did not thank me for my purchase.
