Texas Grill Restaurant

Oh Holy Jesus. I've been in Bastrop 3 years and I have never stopped here. I will never eat Breakfast anywhere else. I had the Country fried steak and eggs. I asked for crispy hash browns. I'm 50 yrs old and this is the first time I have been fully satisfied with my crispy hash browns. The scrammbled eggs were cooked perfectly. The gravy had a middle flavor that allowed you to add salt and pepper to taste. NOTE that at the end of my meal, my gravy was still very smooth and and not clumpy at all.

The entire staff appeared to be very friendly.
For a old restaurant, everything appeared well kept and clean. Not only will I be back, I can't wait to come back.

Horrible cigarette smoke odor smacks you in the face. Sticky table, nasty waitresses, hot iced tea with no ice, bone dry biscuts. Both orders were not cooked as ordered and staff didn't care.

An awesome mom and pop place. Down home cooking and friendly staff. In this place, everybody knows everybody

Maybe we made a mistake coming in at 1:30 pm (we found out they were open 6:30 am to 2:30 pm daily -- after we ordered). The hamburgers were meaty and freshly made. The waitress was indifferent. I had to ask for a refill of water.

This place is so good! We’re from New Caney, TX and we were passing through! The chicken fried steak was huge and good! The Lima beans were delicious!! The brown gravy was soooo yummy!!! And to top it off our waitress Sandy was a fantastic waitress!! We will definitely be back!

Haven't payed Texas Grill a visit in a long,long time, since the park fires. We thought since we were in the vicinity,when they were open, we'd give them a try. As it was, it was delicious. A very pleasant breakfast!!
