Coffee Dog

Okay I thought I had a favorite coffee shop in Bastrop but I was so wrong! COFFEE DOG IS IT y’all. Tasty food, from breakfast to lunch options, smoothies, and of course their COFFEE! The prices are unbeatable compared to other coffee shops in the area. I’m only stopping here for coffee and baked goods from now on! I love that they offer dairy-free alternatives, too! They also have coloring pages and crayons for little ones which I so appreciated. Don’t stop rocking, Coffee Dog!

Great coffee and friendly customer service. Fun & funky local coffee shop with homemade pastries. Large menu & a drive thru. I had a cafe mocha and my friend had the special egg nog latte. Both were rich, hot & delicious. You know you’re in the right place when you walk in and there’s large bags of coffee beans at the door!

We love supporting small. We regretted this stop. It was filthy. The restrooms were horrific. The sink was so dirty it was yellow. Mysterious splatter all over the toilet seats, the floor had pee all around the toilet. They didn't look like they had been cleaned in months.
They got our order wrong and were out of all the baked goods except a scone and a cookie that they didn't know what flavor it was. My turtle mocha was supposed to be a frappe but I took it hot because the wait was long. It tasted like steamed milk. No flavor. Will not be going back.

My first trip to Coffee Dog because I saw Ruben sandwiches on their menu. I was told they were busy and could I wait 20 minutes to come in. I did that, picked up my $10 sandwich only to get home and find no sauerkraut on it. Not everyone can make a good Ruben and I understand that. I also know that being busy is a good thing, however, if I pay that much for a sandwich, I do expect to get what I ordered.Could not eat it! Very disappointed!

I am a Coffee Dog patron however I have to give them two stars for the svc I received today at the drive thru. I ordered a veggie wrap and bottle of water. Waited at the window for over 15 minutes. After pulling around and walking inside (assuming they had forgot about me + there was another car in line behind me) the lady at the front counter tell me they are still working on my wrap. I told the young lady as courtesy to your customer you should set their expectation to wait 15 minutes and check in with your customer every now and then. Based on the lack of empathy and the nonchalant reaction I don't expect change.

Bad customer service experience. We stood in line for five minutes, no response from anyone as they were working on the coffee machine. When we finally asked, they said it would be another 20-30 minutes, then back to ignoring us. Definitely lacking basic customer service awareness.

1 star for pretty good coffee and 1 star for the good kolache (that I got cold.)

-3 stars for the other things I ordered which was a big no for me. I’ll leave it at that.

I would say not good breakfast tacos or salsa. Gave grey eggs and the salsa isn’t the right consistency.

Recently ordered an iced white mocha. It was decent. However, unfortunately when I was looking in the pastry case I saw tons of flies and gnats trapped in there flying around and landing all over the food.
Very unsanitary.

Got a cinnamon roll, iced coffee and iced tea to-go. The cinnamon roll was one of the best we’ve ever had. I split it with my partner and instantly regretted not getting two. Service was great and prices are reasonable. Will be back soon! Update: we’ve been back many times since my original post and it’s always delicious! I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Starbucks while Coffee Dog is around :)
