Pope's Cafe

Pope's Cafe is one of those hometown diner's one searches for outside the restaurant chains. No frozen burgers here. Appears hand patted and always much better than the burger chains. Highly recommend.

This Cafe has been great every time I go there. For those who like an old fashioned charm when they are eating this is it. I've been going here for over 40 years and it has changed very little. Really great plate meals and the pies are out of this world and homemade!

Best food around. Kept simple and consistent. I'm a regular at Miller's grocery in Christiana and also at bell buckle cafe, which are amazing, but this place beats them out. Awesome breakfast, pancakes, burgers, pot roast, fried apples. Also the cheapest place in town.

ok they were out of their specials a d desserts . so got a hamburger which was good but we wanted country food like on their web site . to be opened until 5pm and it being 2pm and already out of everything just about was disappointing .Went back and it was greasy hamburgers. My sister was sick for 2 days after and I was to.

We were looking for some good home-cooked food instead of eating at a chain. The biscuits were very good, but the gravy was very bland. Scrambled eggs were more like flat eggs for an omelet without any filling. My husband's hash browns were really good, big thick slices of Yukon gold potatoes. Would try somewhere else next time.

Rude waitress that doesn't listen. I asked for no fries and I got them. The very second I got my food I was given the check. I ate with someone else and without even asking she gave us separate checks. I wanted it together I was paying. I asked for cheese on my bolonga sandwich and the burger tasted raw.

Typical meat and two or three prepared the southern way and since I am a southern girl, I find it very tasty. Hamburgers and sandwiches also a available. Excellent prices. No complaints here.

This was a smaller place but absolutely amazing staff. The food was delicious and it came out really fast. A good place to eat and get a wonderful meal for not a lot of money. I think we had 4 adults and 2 children each for about 60.
