Frothy Monkey

I thoroughly enjoy coming to this coffee shop. It’s a relaxing venue and the employees are always so nice. I don’t like their parking situation and maybe I’m not parking in the correct place. I end up having to pay to come here. It’s a petty gripe given it’s location but an unneeded expense non the less.

Overall I love coming here and would recommend for you to stop by and grab something for yourself

We sat and waited for our basic sandwiches for 45 minutes and the food never came. I finally went to the front to ask about our food and was told that the waitress never placed our order!!!
The manager never came over to apologize or offer any sort of explanation. Then the audacity of the hostess brought us a bill for the 2 cocktails we ordered but only drank one of! Finally the waitress came over and profusely apologized as this was her first day serving. I honestly felt bad for her as she was embarrassed and overwhelmed. At this point the hostess came back and told us the manager "comped" our one drink that was actually consumed.
All in all this place gets a one star but only because the bloody mary was decent.
So absolutely disappointing and the manager should be embarrassed that she/he failed to step up and speak to us and personally apologize.
Honestly I have had better experiences at taco bell!!

Great coffee shop with excellent food options! It’s rare that you find a restaurant with great coffee or an amazing coffee shop with delicious food. Frothy Monkey has both! There’s a very nice patio to enjoy the warmer weather, that’s great for conversation and people watching. I always use this place as a meet-up spot for friends and family who are out-of-towners. There’s street parking available and also parking in the back that’s very affordable if you can’t find a spot out front. The service is great too. The staff are friendly and know their menu items well. It’s a must try, while in Franklin!

I was hankering for a coffee drink and did not want to go to a national chain and I remembered seeing the Frothy Monkey when I was in Franklin for lunch.

So I went.

Nice place with indoor seating on multiple levels and outside for those bright, warm days.

Friendly greeting, inviting interior and a surprisingly large menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner with kids meals, snacks and desserts.

I ordered a Monkey Mocha, large, and went upstairs to sit. Delivered quickly and it was a large cup of coffee. Listed as a chocolate and banana coffee it was yummy but no banana flavor came through. Still drank it all because it was good.

Gosh, I hardly know what to say. Obviously, from other reviews, this place is a local favorite. What's more, it was highly recommended by an out of town friend who made a point of telling us it was a must visit. We were really looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, our meal just wasn't good...and our server was distracted and visibly irritated about something (not related to us). I'd like to think it was a one-off bad experience. Maybe we'll try again sometime.

I was pointed to this location by a family member as a must try if I was going through Franklin. So we checked it out and we were amazed. This place has delicious drinks and delicious food. The staff was amazing and so nice, enjoy them all. If you need a quick bite or a place to work on your computer, this place has it all. Some many spots upstairs and downstairs to accommodate most groups. There is also an outside area if you need fresh air to sit and do some college work or just get some much needed reflection time. Sit back relax and just people watch and see how busy this location is. This is a must see and try. I would return again and again. I recommend the “Foster” sandwich. It was delicious.

This was our second time here. Great hangout spot. Seating outdoors and inside as well. Love the old brick walls and original hardwood floors! Food is delicious! Service is wonderful!

I go to this location a lot. The food and coffee are both consistently great. The wait staff is really nice, although the service is not fast. I often have to ask twice for some thing I’ve ordered or ask for the bill more than once. As long as you’re not on a tight schedule, it’s definitely worth going.

Specialty roasted coffee, cocktails, food, and pastries all in one. This shop is located in historic downtown Franklin, where you can enjoy sitting inside or outside or strolling through town. You can also order ahead for pick-up.

Great place. We had the Julie and Gail both were very good. They forgot the chicken on the Gail but got it right out. The cashier could have been little more friendly but everyone else was great. Coffee-The Golden Monkey was really good. Came back for the first time at night for just coffee.
