Frothy Monkey

Very Hipster Chic* The atmosphere was the biggest draw to this place and the quality of food and services weren't bad either. For the Price I feel I could have gotten more, but it's in the Heart of Historic Franklin and that's just par for the course. So, I can't really complain.

Awesome place to go dine! The coffee is great and over all the pricing isn't bad for specialty food.

Great chill atmosphere in a very lovely historic house. Delicious unique choices for coffees, teas and some alcoholic beverages. Delicious light meals, soups and desserts as well.

This place looks like it should be a nice coffee house, but looks can be deceiving. The set up and layout really are nice, but the whole staff is rude and disinterested. No one seems to know what is going on and the shuffle of just trying to find a seat was too much. We left after waiting several minutes through the staff's inattention and rudeness. I have no idea why the staff treated us this way; the place wasn't even busy and the employees were all just standing around. Our mere presence seemed like an imposition on them.

I'm sorry to say it, but we left and walked to the Starbucks down the street. We had a much better time there.

Loved the atmosphere. The breakfast is decent, nothing phenomenal. I do love that they source their food locally. I’d come back for a coffee anytime!

We had about a 25 minute wait on a busy Saturday morning. We were seated upstairs and greeted by a friendly waiter. I am very glad one of the female waitresses was not ours. I have never seen someone in a seemingly family friendly atmosphere wear a dress that was as revealing as hers. This is downtown Franklin on a Saturday morning - not Broadway on Friday night. We ordered, then when the food came out, one of the orders was not correct. It was a completely different menu item. The correct item came out very fast…not sure if it was made fresh or just swapped out in the kitchen. My turkey sandwich had good flavor, but only a very thin slice of turkey. I MIGHT would come back for the Monkey Mocha…otherwise, I’d find somewhere else for brunch.

Very poor experience. Ordered food at the counter and the staff didn’t feel the need to i form us that it would be a 40+ minute wait for a bagle and some grits. Was given the grits in a cardboard box. I mean come on. Staff seemed slow moving and disorganized.

Excellent spot for brunch. Great coffee and food options. Covered outdoor seating area is very nice and quiet.

Food was good. Staff was friendly. Service was not so great. Perhaps today was an off day. It appeared they had the waitress caring for too many tables at opposite ends of the cafe. We never saw her the second half of the meal. Others come by asking what we needed - we would tell them what we needed and often nothing would happen. Getting orders wrong seemed to be a common theme at our table and nearby tables - leaving someone to wait for their correct meal to come. Took an extremely long time to get the bill and so I finally went to the register to cash out. We've heard this place is usually excellent - so once again I just think we came on a busy or short-staffed day.

The mocha and latte were very tasty, as was the pastry. Seemed a bit pricey, but that's probably standard nowadays.
