Cool coffee shop with fresh baked goods and strong coffee. This place was recommend by a local when asked. I was traveling through this area on a bicycle heading for Iowa. The woman gave this place a very positive review so I thought I should stop and check it out. I am glad I stopped to fuel up for the long ride ahead of me that day. If I was a student at the university I would likely study at this place from time to time.

This place is Awesome. From breakfast food to lunch. This is definitely the place to go. My in-laws are so lucky to live close by. I can’t wait to check out more items on the menu.

I don't know why I've waited this long to review Cafe Brule. They have a fantastic range of options and are very conscientious of dietary restrictions. The food has never once disappointed and the service is reliably good.
Brule is being very active in dealing with social distancing and mask guidelines.

It's the only place in town to sit down and have breakfast. Their reliable and friendly. The espresso is great. Cristobal makes excellent cappuccinos with beautiful latte art. Today he designed a cat for me!

Loved their fresh baked goods. I had their chicken doodle soup and wasn't crazy about it, my guest had the mac and cheese and enjoyed that. Clean, service was prompt, and friendly.

I love the coffee and the cakes, they are amazing, I didn't like the pastas kind of tasteless but the hamburgers are good.

Dont waste your time here. Although fully staffed, service was slow. Received water then waited over 20 minutes for server to ignore our table. I do not recommend this place nor will be a returning customer.

We were just passing through town.and stopped here. Great staff -she helped us select favorite dishes- thee roast beef and the potatoes (loaded with cheese). Excellent unique food.

This place has delicious food, they easily receive five stars for that. They are getting two stars because of the way the owners treat their staff. When I went here in college, a couple years ago, staff was chewed out in front of customers pretty regularly. I returned to Brule a couple weekends ago, and low and behold, years later, an owner was chewing out a male server right next to our table. It was extremely awkward as she talked down to him in a sarcastic voice about “how busy he was” as he cleared dirty tables. Multiple tables were staring. She continued to talk to him this way as she walked away, letting more people hear. Maybe get after your staff somewhere private rather than in front of your customers.
