The bagels here are great when they actually make them. The workers are nice and don't slack, but you can tell they're understaffed. They usually only have one worker preparing GrubHub orders when there should at least be two or three. It's quicker to go through the line than through the app, which makes no sense at all. You can wait over an hour after ordering on GrubHub, and your order still won't be ready. Like I said, the bagels themselves taste great, but it's like flipping a coin on whether or not you'll get one.

I've never been here. I came to the reviews to see if I wanted to visit and am glad I did. I will not be visiting. I'm in Columbia visiting from Charlotte and I love Einstein Bagels and never paid $5.00 for a bagel and cream cheese. I can get 2 in Charlotte for $5.00. This is sad and sickening. Definitely taking advantage of college students.

Good luck getting a bagel within an hour of ordering it.

I left my phone at home which had my CarolinaCard and other cards in it, so I asked to pay in cash. The assistant manager had forgotten the cash tray today so she paid for my bagel! It brightened my day and I will be paying it forward today. Very understanding staff and quick service.

The employees are extremely nice! There is usually a wait, but that's to be expected when everyone goes. If they could improve anything, it would be to increase their stock of everything bagels. Mobile ordering is available sometimes, but it's often quicker to just wait in line.

Today I ordered on GrubHub at 1:40 so my bagel would hopefully be ready by the time I got out of class at 2:00 (because they are so slow). Once I walked to Einstein, my one bagel with cream cheese wasn't ready yet. I waited for about 10 minutes and asked one of the employees and they said they would get it ready for me. It took them until 2:15 to tell me they were out of the bagel I wanted. So I picked a different bagel and was told again, they would get it ready for me. I ended up leaving at 2:25, 50 minutes after my order was put in, EMPTY HANDED because I had a meeting I would be late for. I don't understand how hard it is to toast and put cream cheese on a bagel.

First time here... I was a little confused because I ordered at one register and then was sent to another to pay.I ordered the avocado toast on an egg bagel. It was okay... the bagel I don't believe was toasted. The bagel was soft but it would've been nice if it was toasted. Over all the it was okay. The girl at the second register, did tell me about their rewards program, I might look into it.

Good bagels, but poor service. Usually bagels aren't my thing, and I would get coffee and oats or pancakes for breakfast, but bagels here are pretty good. Personally, I'd recommend the honey wheat bagel with honey almond shmear and the cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese or strawberry shmear. In general, though, everything is quite good, including bagel sandwiches and coffee. My only knock on this place is that some of the bagels/bagel and shmear combos are overly sweet or savory (like the cinnamon sugar with the maple shmear) and the everything bagel with anything but cream cheese is not great.
On the other side, the service is really disappointing. Sure, it is good food, but as a student who is frequently in a hurry you better take time out of your schedule to come here as they take forever to prepare the food. If they are on their game (seldom as that is), it is a good experience.

Came to grab a bagel and coffee between classes. Waited in line for 20 min and when I got to the register I order my regular (cinnamon sugar bagel with plain cream cheese). They were out of cinnamon sugar bagels so I asked for a plain one, they were out of that too. I changed to a french toast bagel and proceeded to ask for my cold brew coffee. Cashier says they are ALSO out of cold brew coffee. Considering they’re out of a lot of a good amount of things I would love not waiting in line for 20 min just to find out they’re out of popular items. After getting my bagel I went to find a table to eat at, pulled out my bagel and there was literally a spoon full of cream cheese on it when usually they plaster the bagel with an excessive amount. Frustrating experience overrall. Keep your bagel and coffee restaruant stocked with bagels and coffee.

You wait in line for 20 minutes to ask for a bagel with a certain type of spread. You order, give them the $5 for one bagel, and wait even longer. Once you finally get the bagel you expect your $5 you paid for the 3 seconds of labor to spread the cream cheese on the bagel is suitable. Instead, you are given a cup of cream cheese and a heated bagel. WHAT IS THE $5 FOR? A terrible business that takes advantage of young, gullible, broke college students.
