Overall I love the farm to table concept so I gave this some extra bonus points. They had a wide selection menu for everyone even though they didn't have what we came to try. Traveling with kids you are able to sit at the bar in south carolina which is nice when no other seating is possible. I had the roasted peaches which had ham, basil, shishito peppers, and some creamed goat cheese. Very interesting plate. We also ordered the Whole Red Snapper which was cooked in the wood fired oven. I always love a whole fresh fish and wood fire cooking makes everything better. The sides of fennel, olives and potatoes with salsa Verde was better than it looked, fennel was great. They added 2 grilles lemons but I could have use 1 more less cooked lemon to squeeze on the fish. For dessert the peach ice cream, blueberries, and granola crumble was like peach pie. The peach ice-cream is good by itself as well. The churros came with 3 dipping sauces which were very good as well. My favorite being the vanilla. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Thanks yall!

Expecting 5 stars, received a 3 star experience. Too bad. The recommended shaved trumpet mushrooms tasted mostly of vinegar, and the "lamb sugo," which should have been hard to screw up, was overwhelmingly salty (dousing it with fresh mint is not a band-aid). Shrimp entree was mealy and flavors were dull: castelvetrano olives were underleveraged and lemon was overdone. Serious palate problems in the kitchen are evident. Service was adequate, but not particularly attentive and we got a "loud talker" server which was jarring. Not what it was pre-Covid. At least it wasn't super expensive, but still overpriced for a mediocre execution of pretentious food.

Who would imagine such a burst of flavors from a carrot or a cauliflower dish? Carefully and artfully created, this was by far the best meal I have had so far in my Savannah- Charleston trip. The soft shell crab sandwich and the wreck fish were delicious as well.

Best restaurant experience in Charleston. The Bolognese Bianco is the star of the menu and excellent execution of entire Produce category which took me by surprise. Everything we tried was innovative, balanced and delicious. Apt naming of restaurant for its simplicity yet impressive execution.

Trying too hard. Flavors combos are very unusual and generally on the sour side. 4th out of 4 dinner restaurants picked for the week. Service was excellent but it’s a given at this price range. A “tried-it-once” restaurant for me.

Everything we ordered was tasty. Service was a little slow but did not impact the experience too much. The seafood pilau was beautifully presented but really could use more depth of flavor. The homemade ice cream was incredible.

This is a review for brunch at The Grocery. Really good, particularly the biscuits, chicken, gravy, though I wouldn't say any one thing was the best in Charleston. Good coffee, good churros and good French toast. Overall, very solid food at reasonable prices. Great service. One nice thing that is also a bit unique is that they have parking spaces next to the restaurant.

Just had a completely lovely , satisfying dinner here. Each dish was a perfect portion and delicious. Steven guided us through the menu and had wonderful suggestions. Even the accompaniment on the dishes had us happily eating our vegetables, well seasoned and nice char. We started with the squid ink spaghetti with crab (my fave of the night) , bone marrow brulee and roasted broccoli. Afterwards we split the tuna and short rib and ended with creamy buttermilk ice cream. This place is a gem, thank you!

Star rating is based on food only.

We come here for dinner. New American cuisine, made with mostly local ingredients. From the appetizers, main courses to dessert, everything is so delicious!

If you are ever in the area, I would highly recommend this place.

Pro: fresh local ingredients, unique creations, super friendly staffs.

Best restaurant in Charleston I'll argue. Tilefish is amazing. Oysters with ramp butter, legit baby soft pillows of gnocchi. Got to eat here all you can
