Got there early, table was ready. Service was great as was the food. First time there but won’t be the last. It’s a BYOB restaurant which allows you to bring what you like and not have to overpay for a bottle of wine. We’ll be back. If you’re looking for great food this is the place to try.

This restaurant used to be one of my favorites in this area. I'm sorry to say it no longer is. Most of our experiences here were good - food and service above average. The last few times, service was a bit slow, but nothing terrible. Over the past 2 months, two of our Airbnb couples had very bad experiences here...one actually received gift coupons to try and compensate for their disastrous meal. Last night another one of our guests waited half an hour to get an appetizer, that was not real tasty. They waited another half hour for the entree. When it never arrived, they paid the bill and walked out. Since it was 9:30 pm, and most places were closed, they ended up with no dinner at all. As a 5 star Airbnb host for 5 straight years, I know what it takes to make people happy. I guess the Fairview Cafe no longer does. I will never recommend this restaurant to any more guests, and have deleted it from my list of suggested restaurants to guests.

Okay this place is getting to be an issue as I can't stop dining here!
3 times this past week. My wife and I are determined to try the entire menu, NO JOKE! This week we have tried a feature dish Seabass with a mango salsa, the roasted duck that was crispy and just superb with a orange ginger sauce, a cowboy ribeye that was the size of my head ( i'm a big man), and the very best Lamb either of us have ever had ( it comes in this Bourbon Berry BBQ sauce that we actually asked them if we could buy some to take home with us). Amazing Find! The staff is very welcoming and make you feel right at home and the owner/chef has courteously taken the time to visit with our table. I could go on but you get the picture. Very much recommended! AND TRY THE LAMB!

Just had dinner at the fairview cafe. The food was outstanding and our server Jamie was friendly, professional and on time with everything. The building itself is one of a kind. It is like a beautiful lodge with a 4 sided fireplace. Highly recommended.

This place is a joke. They catered our wedding in September 2017 and never brought the coffee and extras as planned. They never asked for the address. I always felt nervous that they forgot about us. I had to call the day before the wedding to give the address. No one mentioned to us that the restaurant would be closed the days following the wedding and that we were responsible for returning all equipment until the wedding was over. We paid in full the day we booked. It's been 4 months and we still haven't received our security deposit back despite numerous calls to Donnie, the owner, and text messages. If you're looking for an efficient business to cater your event I wouldn't suggest Fairview cafe and catering. Very poor management and not at all professional. For the thousands we paid for the event, it shouldn't be too hard to return a security deposit.

FABULOUS! A terrific restaurant with outstanding food, an attentive staff and a beautiful setting. A winning combination. Thank you Donny and Laurel for making our dinner so special. We can’t wait to return.

If you are looking for an exceptional dining experience in the small town of Tafton, PA, please visit the Fairview Cafe. In a beautiful rustic setting, the food and service were outstanding. My friends and I each enjoyed delicious entrees and the opportunity to bring our own bottle of wine made it extra special. A nice variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts. The service by Ashley was delightful. You won't be disappointed.

Incredible! In every way! Our 2nd visit here, was amazing service and food both visits. Would be regulars, if we lived closer. And an incredibly beautiful building and ambience.
