Great location and very helpful service. Unfortunately I get nervous as my kids get older because they have books on display, showing profanity and such, and these are right beside the kids toys section. As my kids get to reading age, I'll have to reconsider our visits a bit more.

I'm so glad they still carry a bible section along with other Christian books. Also, I was asked if I needed help several times - my shopping experience was so so pleasant!

Knowledgeable, friendly staff. This was my first visit but seeing how I bought a Barnes & Noble membership I’m sure I’ll be back.

I love both the book selection and relaxed atmosphere of this place. I don't mind that they've branched into toys/board games and I'm relieved that they aren't trying to be a music store. As a bonus, there is a coffee shop inside that also sells some pastries.

I had a very good experience. A few days ago I requested a copy of "Allegheny Girls--Anne's Story by Jeanne Campbell. I had to request it to be published "on demand." I was so surprised when it arrived so soon. It is meaningful to me because the author and I were good friends and both graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School. The story takes place in the 1960's and tells of her love for life while living in the Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania. I imagine the plot of the story is based on her own life experiences. It is Christian based and will be great reading especially for teens and young adults who want to find out what life was like in the 1960's for their grandparents.

Super nice Barnes & Noble, their cafe area is a great place to get some work done. Really extensive selection of board games and other non-book items. Definitely will visit again.

B&N has created a kind of gift shop bookstore atmosphere here. Not saying their concept is a totally bad thing, given the concerning retail climate in this area, but do not expect to find a broad range of serious literature, history, or social sciences at this location. The staff offer to special order the titles one is looking to purchase; more than one staff member has projected outright irritation when I have declined their offer?

I really like the State College B&N. Nice selection of books and magazines. The Starbucks Cafe is a decent size. The location is a medium size store and has plenty of parking and easy access.

Today I went to the cafe and saw a man with longer brown hair with a beard being very aggressive. He seemed to be upset about something as he was slamming stuff and making loud noises in the back. It made me feel unwelcomed and discouraged me from placing an order.

If they do not have the book you are looking for, they will find it. Nice place to grab a coffee and get lost in the books.
