This coffee shop has a great atmosphere. The staff are very friendly. The mocha was delicious with amazing foam. Definitely going back.

Very nice coffe and pottery shop tucked away in downtown Altoona. Hearty “Loaded Baked Potato” soup that had a creamy texture and right balance of ingredients. The Americano is a blend of light coffee with a shot of espresso to add a bolder tone. Nutty but not overpowering and smooth. Although they don’t roast their own beans, the beans are from Passenger Coffee Roasters from Lancaster Pa. Very friendly and informative staff.

Such a cute little coffee shop! The staff is supppper friendly and the coffee and tea tastes amazing. My hub got pour over coffee and I got their chai tea latte. So hard to find good chai but theirs is great 😍 what a gem in Altoona. They also seem to have pottery classes, and they have local handmade items for sale as well!

The staff was very friendly, it is incredibly clean and the drinks were good! I love the little library for use in store or purchase if you want to finish it at home!

I have been to The Clay Cup several times over the past two years, I live in pittsburgh but grew up in the area, so it's a must stop for me when I'm heading home! I am always impressed with the courteous staff and the quality of the coffee! I am a vegan, so I LOVE that they not only have dairy alternative milks, but they also supply gluten free, dairy free and vegan pastries!
I was just there yesterday with my mom and nephews, I had a delicious latte, my mom had a mocha, my nephews had hot cocoa and some cupcakes from their daily selection. Everything was fresh and delicious.
We ended up chatting with the barista a bit because she said she was going to visit Pittsburgh soon, so we had a nice conversation about the city. Then when my family got to our car we realized our car battery was dead! This lovely barista went out of her way to give our car a jump! Like where do you find these angel staff members?!?
If I could give 100 stars for this business I would!

We were looking forward to a cup of hot chocolate. It was mediocre at best. Apparently the pump on the chocolate bottle wasn’t pumping. The asst. mgr. didn’t get a new pump or a new bottle of chocolate. He gave us the amount he could barely squeeze out. The drink was lukewarm and tasted like 1/2 spoon of Nestle’s was used. Service was ok. People are observant and notice things.

Awesome coffee and pastries. Atmosphere is second to none. Staff and owner are great. You also can spend time painting ceramics. Great place to spend an afternoon. Erin is the best barista ever!!!!😁
