I loved the lighthouse. You can tour it and the cute museum for $8. Small tours, informative. The museum was well worth the time too. I learned much about signaling, and the lives of coast guard. Well worth a stop on the way to the beaches and dunes.

This was probably my favorite of all the Oregon Coast lighthouses. The pictures don't really do it justice. There are SEVERAL beautiful buildings here, and the complex is located right above the dunes. So you can sample a little bit of everything that the region has to offer with just a short walk. Though we couldn't find a path onto the dunes.
I didn't realize the coast guard still owns it, so you can't just walk up to it without a tour. You can however walk up to the gift shop and museum, which unfortunately were closed during our visit.

Well maintained and thorough museum of the area's history. Grounds are well kept and staff is pleasant.
Tours of the Lighthouse start here and are guided only.
No pets allowed. Restrooms present and ADA Accessible

Nice Old light house, has a really good view of the South Jetty at Winchester Bay.
There is a Lake Marie behind the light house that looked really nice.
Had PPL swimming

This is THE best lighthouse since you can take a guided tour up to the top. Then you understand all the other lighthouses use the same fresnel light, but this one is red and white, beautiful. You cannot tour up inside the other lighthouses north on Umpqua

Very informative! Loved all the historical displays in the museum. The gift shop was fun to look in for memorabilia but the gift shop best part, The clam chowder and scones awesome! Then the tour inside the light house, Wow! Just wow!
A must see if your traveling hwy 101 between Coos Bay and Reedsport!

Paid about 8 or 10$ / person to get a tour. Very informative and l liked the trivia. You have to go to the gift shop so they can set up the tour for you.

The first lighthouse we have visited, out of all of them so far, that actually has a tour and allowed us to go inside the tower. Beautiful views from inside. It’s on an active United States Coast Guard base. Very informative!
