I give this place 4 stars for their food and their atmosphere.

I had the meatball sub, my girlfriend had the rueben. We both enjoyed it but the chips were seasoned kind of funny. Aside from that, it was delicious.

The service was alright, but I chalk that up to them being pretty busy and stressed; not their fault.

A warning to people coming here: you need to go to the front and get the menus. Make sure they know you're seated! Also order at the front like we did, it is a lot quicker than hoping they're not busy and waiting at the table. It's a different kind of cafe, that's how it works best.

I saw a lot of people seat themselves, wait around for menus and service, then stomp off angry because no one came. That's because you didn't even wait for them to clear the table and just sat there hoping they'd notice you. They didn't, give them a break.

TLDR: Really good food, nice spot to sit and enjoy nature, and the place was not designed for the privileged brat. Love it!

Stopped by the morning on June 27th with my friend as we were really hoping to find a new regular place to stop off when we are on the coast for a good, local burger. Sadly we were both terribly disappointed by the level of service as well as the mediocre food.

Both myself and my friend felt incredibly ignored during our visit. I ordered the jalapeno burger with coleslaw for myself and the regular cheese burger for my friend, as she is deaf and it was easier for me to order for her. The person that took our order asked if we would be sitting outside and that she would be bringing us water shortly.

We sat outside and were completely ignored for about 20 minutes, no water, no condiments or anything. After sitting in the warm sun for that long, I went in and got the water myself. Finally our food came and the server told us that she would return with condiments and utensils. Again, another 10 minute wait before I took it upon myself to go inside and get them so we could enjoy our food while it was hot. The server was nice and very apologetic.

The burgers were pretty OK, nothing to write home about. My coleslaw side definitely was off. It had a fermented and sour taste as well as a bitter smell. It was even bubbling a little as it was definitely fermenting. The chips were your standard store-bought kettle chips and the least disappointing aspect of the entire meal.

At no point did any server ever stop by and ask how we liked our food or if we needed anything, etc. Honestly, my friend may have felt a bit excluded because she is deaf. We both watched the other tables all around us being served and waited on while we both had to go inside and fetch everything ourselves which, along with the sour coleslaw, left a bad taste in our mouths.

We will probably not go here again. For the price, there are too many other options on the coast for a burger. I made the mistake of tipping when I ordered rather than tipping an appropriate amount commensurate with the level of service.

We had brunch here yesterday, and the food was amazing! Even though they were busy and it took a while to be able to place our order, it was worth it, and all the staff members we encountered were very friendly. I would definitely recommend!

Fancy, flavorless burgers. Nice place with nice gals working the front line. Great menu but ours was overcooked and bland. If they can get their cooking downpat....they'll have a good outfit.

Searching down a place to eat breakfast, we happened along this little homely place. Our waitress, Kendra, was a joy.
Don't care for the cottage fries. Otherwise, breakfast was good. Eggs we're just right. Harry enjoyed his Eggs Benedict.
Coffee machine could likely use a good descaling.

Thank you!

Service and food were excellent!! Highly recommend! Very friendly and quick with any requests. Accommodating with my substitutions for food. The waitress even gave us an extra piece of bacon for our dogs. The food was seriously delicious and were good size helpings for a decent price as well.

Best breakfast we've had in a long time. Loved the Gluten Free options. My husband had sausage, potatoes, eggs, and sourdough toast and said it all was so delicious. Sourdough toast tasted homemade. Excellent little find up the 101. Must stop by!

We had THE BEST meal ever! Our waitress was very attentive and gave great advice about which menu items might suit our tastes. She allowed my picky child to individualize his meal (an easy fix, but which confuses many restaurants,) customized our desserts, and had a great attitude. The food was delicious- seriously. I had the Seafood Scampi and my husband had the Ribeye, which was cooked perfectly. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Great food, many choices for all ages and taste and the best clam chowder! It could have used, salt and pepper but some people are sensitive to those. All in all, just add if you wish. Dog friendly, if you eat outside. Our dog was happy to get out of the car for a while and we appreciated being able to not have to keep her in the car.
So good, enjoy!

The Central Coast was a delicious sandwich! Everything went together very well. The potato salad wasn’t anything to write home about but the sandwich definitely made up for that. My wife’s burger was a little bland, wish we could’ve visited a few times to try more as their menu options look phenomenal!
