Hilltop Cafe-Bistro

I had the Monte Cristo. Lunch starts at 11:30. This place is always packed. Food was a mouthwatering, delicious concoction of flavors. I highly recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed. People are very friendly and service was amazing.

Oh boy this place was soooo good! It's a blink and you'll miss it kinda cafe right off the side of the road. We went there twice for breakfast and once for dinner during our beach trip and every time was delicious. Great coffee, great breakfast sandwiches and super delicious burgers. I wish I could have this place moved closer to where I live. Also love their resident cat Bella who does nothing more then project chill vibes while sleeping on a pile of newspapers. ✌️

I should have taken a photo of the crab salad, but I was hungry. Everything was delicious. We want to come back for breakfast!! My husband had the monte Cristo, enough for 2. My salad was big as well. Only thing keeping them from 5 stars was the food came out before the drinks. Again food was amazing.

Wow! What an amazing little spot! Friendly service, amazing food, the cocktail sauce was too die for!!! The burger was definitely hand made and done perfectly. The bun was slightly lacking, but surprisingly complimented the burger nicely. Good wine, fair prices. Thank you! What a great find! I couldn't wait to eat my crab cocktail, so it's half eaten in the pic, but that glass was nearly full!! Great portion for the dollars!

Fun little local diner. They have beer at night too. We dropped in for coffee and loved the vibes and friendly service. The food looked great.

This was so good! Clam chowder here is the beat clam chowder I ate at our West Coast trip.l. The portions are big and the food is the best. Would eat there every week if I lived there.

This place is really popular. We were staying nearby in an Airbnb so we walked to it for breakfast. Our orders came out fast and we beat the busy morning rush and had a table. They sell local artist pieces and have coffee. It was a nice place close to where we were staying. Also the people are friendly and really honest, as I left my purse behind when we went back to our Airbnb.

Some good elements going on here.
Prices are decent.
Seafood items are a bit more.

We had the sweet burger and BLT. Plus, French onion soup and chowder.

Sweet burger was good. Good size for $12. Comes with coleslaw, potato salad or chips.

BLT was $10. Also, comes with coleslaw, potato salad or chips.

They don't season their meat, so it does just taste like a chunk of meat. The rest of the items in the burger gives it a good flavor. Still, I think salt and pepper on the burger could elevate this burger. Less red onion.

BLT is good but the bread to meat ratio is off. Too much bread.

We both had potato salad. Added salt. Good.

Chowder was great, French onion soup was weird. Very vinegary. Used toasted rye bread. Then burnt the cheese on top. That burnt bitterness is off putting.

You get your own water, utensils, napkins, and clear your own tables. You order at the counter. The gal just brings over your food.

Overall I'd try this place again but would try something different.

They have great breakfast food and very friendly service.

So very disappointing. I am shocked that there are so many great reviews. The coffee was great. Otherwise, the only good thing on my plate was the swiss cheese in my omelette. The eggs in my omelet were way over-cooked. The mushrooms inside were dry. The toast was just warm not toasted and the butter on top just made it soggy. The worst part though, were the potatoes, they were charred. I normally like burnt things, but this was too much even for me. I tried to eat around the blackest pieces but they left an unpleasant burnt taste in my mouth that lingers still. We ended up throwing most of the food in the trash. Will not be back.
