Grendel's Coffee House

One of the best places to eat breakfast and grab a coffee. The staff here are always so friendly and helpful with the menu. The egg sandwiches are soooo tasty! And they make one of the best London (Grendel's) Fog I've ever had. 12/10 would fly back from NYC to have breakfast here again.

Such a nice spot! I went with my family and we all got drinks and treats at a reasonable price. The customer service was awesome, I saw one of the staff members run out after someone when they forgot their drink just to give it to them. I ordered a cold brew coffee and I was pleasantly surprised to find COFFEE ICE CUBES?? It's genius, that was the coffee never gets watered down. I would highly recommend this cafe. :D

Stopped by while visiting from NJ and omg they are the best! They have the best coffee and food and staff is so sweet. Would go back to Portland just for Grendel’s!

Cute little shop! The breakfast sandwich was yummy, but the honey lavender latte was everything! Just sweet enough and absolutely perfect! Great place to spend a morning!

Best bang for your buck coffee shop in the area. Parking can be a little awkward, but the sandwiches, bagels, and coffee are all somehow very, very good with prices still reminiscent of pre-covid life. I rarely leave reviews, but this spot deserves a good one.

This bacon, egg and cheese english muffin is perfection. Crispy bacon, made the eggs fress, thick melty slice of cheese and then they pressed it in a panini thing 🤤 I told them to surprise me with a coffee because I panicked 😅 first time here and they were incredibly sweet about it. They made me a hot maple cinnamon coffee and it was amazing. I'll definitely be in a few more times for breakfast before I leave town. Stop in you won't be sorry!

Great breakfast bagels and espresso!

However, I used the restroom when I arrived and let the gal behind the counter know I used the last of the TP. I was visiting old coworkers along my road trip, so I used the restroom again right before I left and there still wasn't TP. The bathroom was pretty gross, too.

A very cozy coffee place right close to a few hotels/motels on Burnside. The coffee (simple brew that I always get) was tasty. The best part was the toasted bagel, they really put some attention and effort in making that the best toasted bagel with cream cheese that I've had in a while. Thank you!

Nice local coffee shop with a variety of sandwiches, some danish, and a friendly vibe. Many of the customers seemed like regulars and were greeted warmly by the baristas.

So happy Grendel's survived the pandemic! My favorite place to get a latte & breakfast sandwich or bagel before work
