My son and I stopped in after a morning exploring the coast. The Blue Agate was full, but the service was still fast and friendly! We shared a cup of delicious clam chowder. I had the crab tacos and my son had the fish and chips. Both were amazing!

There aren't a lot of options when it comes to dining in Oceanside, but I would recommend the Blue Agate Café for breakfast or lunch even if there were. Especially after a morning of agate hunting or kite flying on the beach below. This cute little café is decorated with historic photos of Oceanside and the surrounding area, and has a great view of the beach and Maxwell Point. It is a little small inside (dare I say cozy?), so they may not be able to accommodate a large group, but they do have outdoor seating if the weather is cooperating.

They keep a small lunch menu with coastal favorites like burgers & fries and fish & chips. The staff are friendly and sat us at a table even though we showed up 15 minutes before closing. A word of warning, they do close early (around 3 or 4 most days) so don't expect to grab a BLT after watching the sunset. But that is part of the charm of a sleepy little seaside community like Oceanside.

The Blue Agate Cafe is wonderful. Their menu is full of delicious offerings, including fish tacos! They have a back patio that is dog friendly. I cannot wait to return!

Great food, super friendly service. We sat in the patio with the dogs and they brought out a water dish and made sure it was always full. Being right across the road from the beach was nice as well.

Came here after getting soaked in the rain on the beach. Very nice place. Small, but pleasant. The two ladies who were the waitresses were very nice and helpful. Chowder was great! A pretty substantial bowl of soup with toast too for only $10! They also will give you butter if you ask for it.

Wonderful beachside location, easy walk from the Oceanside beach. The crab and shrimp melt is to die for! Root beer also a treat. Nice local business with excellent food and great service.

Back for another visit since my first one was so excellent. We had a big breakfast before we got there so we decided to split the Shrimp and Crab Melt and a salad. The melt is served open faced and with a delicious cheese melted on top. The amount of shrimp and crab was well balanced with the fresh tomato and avacado. We opted to upgrade our salad to a garden salad from the side and they split it for us graciously. The house made vinaigrette was a great option for the fresh greens and tomatoes. This great cafe is worthy of a stop. The views from the dining area mathlched with the menu offering make this a must stop. It's convenient turn off the road out to Cape Meares and way from the bustle of Tillamook.

Awesome little cafe right off the beach. I’ve been a couple of times. Most recently I had the best burger I’ve had since 2019 there, and my wife loved the chowder. We had a little nook with a view of the ocean. Great, friendly service too!

I highly recommend stopping in while you’re there. For breakfast or lunch.

Stopped here on a quick trip to Oceanside for the day. This is a super cute little local restaurant with views from every table. It looks like this was once a house and converted into a restaurant. The menu had plenty of options both seafood and non seafood.

I started with a side salad and my dining partner got a cup of the clam chowder. Both were really good - the salad had a combination of spinach and green leaf lettuce, super ripe and juicy tomatoes, cucumber, parmesan cheese, and croutons. I got blue cheese dressing which was tasty and I think they make it in house. The clam chowder had great taste ahe was served with oyster crackers. Tons of chunks of clam.

For the entree I got the fish and chips and he got the shrimp and crab melt. The fish and chips were good, not great. I've had better at other seafood establishments but for the price (16) and the small town location I think they were adequate. The shrimp and crab melt was exceptional. It was served open faced with an apple pesto, tomato, shrimp, crab, avocado and cheese all on sourdough bread. This was also prices reasonably also at 16.00.

I don't believe alcohol is still served here as it was crossed out on the menu. Dry or not, we would come back again.
