My kinda clam chowder. Cute place. Decent food!

The worse experience. The middle aged white women literally runs to empty the tip jar as I approach the counter. She then asks " did I decide what I want, do I know what I want to eat". Without receiveing any service or menu I wasn't sure how this was possible. I tell her I'm picking up. She then asks the line cook was my food ready, he replied yes. She then turns and walks away from me...says nothing, gets nothing, does nothing. Then an Asian women comes to the counter and ask the couple behind me to come up to the counter. I then ask " what is going on?!" She said your food isnt ready, she hadn't even checked. I told her the line cook said it was and it's sitting in the window getting cold. I left disgusted and discriminated against. Just say " colored entrance around back" next time. Not for me though...it won't be me.
Crab omelet was unsatisfying and over cooked. Sausage gravy and biscuits were chaulky.

Nice people, very friendly and prompt service. Food is so-so. Its a cross between you didnt want to cook so you went out but maybe ypu should have just stayed in. I feel like its kind of having an identity crisis with the menu items. A few American, a few hispanic, and then an Italian one here and there. Not "bad" but dont go with too high of hopes. Just a nice plain meal, friendly service and a great view. Enjoy!

The food is good, especially anything savory. Omelets are great, biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, etc. We were not thrilled with the French toast, it does not include any protein and it was made with regular cheap bread.

Good food and nice folks

Actually 4 and a half rating from this reviewer for this charming little eatery. Good breakfasts and service as you overlook the beach at Oceanside. We loved their crab cakes breakfast and the seafood scramble with plenty of tasty crab and shrimp, good biscuits and great fried potatoes. Both were a big hits at our table. I wanted to give this fine establishment a 5 star rating, but as an early riser, I did not want to wait for the 0900 opening...but it turns out that the Blue Agate is worth the wait!

Extremely mediocre food. I would not describe the owner as rude, but she was uptight and passive aggressive. It was also very overpriced; twenty dollars for a poorly cooked piece of fish and some obviously frozen broccoli.

Went here for a small lunch and got seated in the back outside patio, A great place on a beautiful day and the food was even better. The 5 of us all had different items from the menu and all of us had an excellent meal and the service was top notch for a small café like this. keep up the good work!

Looked forward to going back here after a couple of years but very disappointed.
Food was so-so and wait staff / hostess ( older lady) seemed very flustered. Maybe it was just a bad day for her but the impression was she didn’t want to be there.

The food here was amazing, I had the crab shrimp melt, and it was to die for! The family that runs this restaurant is so friendly and welcoming. The shop is small but very cozy, the decor is cute and fun and the view of the beach is beautiful! Just a short walk up from the beach, we had a great lunch! Very fair pricing as well.

Absolutely loved it, the family owned atmosphere is so cute and fitting with the shop placement, I had an amazing breakfast with my girlfriend. The sausage was absolutely amazing as we're the omelettes!
