What a great tiny cafe in the heart of Oceanside. It has so much character and great views of the Pacific. The food was very good, we got the Sea garden breakfast burrito and the crab and shrimp scramble. The seafood is so fresh you would think they pulled it out of the Sea right after you ordered. The staff is friendly and they have all you can drink coffee for only $2.50

My partner and I moved to the area just a few months ago and we've already been to Blue Agate half a dozen times! It's where we take all of our guests who come to visit.
What I love most is how cozy it is inside! Especially when it's stormy out and you can just watch the rain and the waves roll in.
The food is pretty good too! Serving sizes are big without being obscenely big, if you know what I mean? The crab cakes are amazing and so is the breakfast sandy.
The service is usually pretty good. Sometimes if it's packed service can get slow, but hey, it's usually only one or two people working tables, so it's okay.
Overall, I highly recommend Blue Agate if you're in the area!

The food here is good, like real home cooking. Biscuits that were fluffy and soft! The gravy that goes on top is perfect. Not so thick like paste, just perfect consistency, and flavor. Chicken fried steak was hand breaded, and my daughter loved it. I also had their crab cakes, which was very good, too! Oh yes, lastly, but most certainly not least, the service was the best! Owner came out and greeted us and her daughter in-law was our server. Both ladies were so kind and genuine.

Stopped through town on a road trip. Amazing food. Some of the freshest produce I've seen at a restaurant of any scale or caliber. They were even super nice and understanding when we sat down to eat not realizing they were closing in 10 minutes. After cooking in restaurants for years I know that can be a bummer but they were amazing. Much appreciated. Definitely going back whenever we are in town.

Great place for breakfast! Very comfortable inside, and the staff were super friendly. Biscuits and gravy were incredible. Awesome views, too!

This is a gem (agate?) on the coast. We came here for lunch on a cold windy Saturday day. We had 6 in our group whish is a pretty big group for this place - we were probably 1/3 of the restaurant. It is not a big place. Despite this, they rearranged some tables and had us seated almost immediately. The service was great, especially considering there was one waitress. The coffee was nice and hot, which we really needed The food was excellent. We just missed breakfast, but the lunch dishes were awesome. My crab melt was super fresh and hot. The fries were actually seasoned and weren't just an afterthought. Other folks got burgers which looked great as well.
All in all, this place definitely deserves a stop of you're out on the Oregon coast.

Found this amazing little Restaurant across form the Beach. The service was great as well as the food. We had Fish & Chips and the Chicken & Bacon Melt. It was so yummy. Would recommend this place big time.

This place had so much potential. The food sounds great and tempting but none of it was good. No flavor in any of this. No seasoning and no salt. We were a table of 3 and a baby/toddler. Our orders were the pacific scramble, 2 biscuits and gravy, French toast and a baby omelette with cheese. I returned one full plate of biscuits and gravy. The baby omelette and more than half the pacific scramble. They didn’t discount anything even though I told them of the issues and everything tasted bland and just unseasoned. Overall still has much potential as it’s right next to the beach but wasn’t worth the $80. I much prefer eating at the Nextdoor surf shop.
