This was a total blast. Lots of good rapids, they had great BBQ food for us, made sure everyone has life jackets and water. Even though it was a great spot, what really made the trip was our guide Matt. He put up with it groups antics, even joined in, told jokes, taught us about the river. Could not have had a better time!

Been renting rafts from here each summer for years now and its always a great experience. They are on time and always deliver whats needed. I recommend that you choose them to guide you down the river or provide rafts. Get out there and have fun!

Scottie guided us through the rapids like an expert pro! We were taken care of from beginning to end with super customer service. I noticed the equipment was in great condition. I appreciated the gourmet lunch set apart from the other rafting companies. It was more comfortable and we had room to play.

What a great time. The staff and service is exceptional. We did the guided float with Tanner. Exceptional instruction, great personality and we hit each rapid perfectly for a fun, and exciting ride. Tanner also took us on an excursion to white river for a trip down a natural rock slide!! What a great day with a great company, we will be back again.

We rented rafts for July 4th weekend for 3.5 days for a group of 9, non-guided. Kate was very helpful with suggestions and recommendations for combination of rafts and general questions on the Deschutes River. Everything went pretty smoothly but they didn't include the top off pump that is included. We didn't realize it before we set off (maybe some rafting jitters). It may have been forgotten by the staff, but we actually needed it along the trip. Luckily, at a boat ramp along the river, someone let us borrow theirs. Overall, the equipment was sturdy and their recommendations were just right. Our group of 9 had a great time on the river. I just wish we could have gotten those DRA stickers after they came to pick up our rafts!

The pros: our guide Al was spectacular. Very engaging, lots of fun stories and anecdotes about himself and guiding on the river while still being completely professional, and really laid out the red carpet for us in terms of fun rapids, places to swim/jump in the river, and showing us the lay of the land. It was his first season guiding, but i would have believed him if he said he'd been doing it for 20 years- a real class act.

The cons: the young men who put on the BBQ were unfriendly and visibly upset at me when i asked if i could have a second burger. Not a huge deal, of course, but it was still a bizarre reaction to asking for an extra sandwich.

The staff make this business what it is. Always helpful, and were even willing to get us some camping gear rentals a day early on short notice. The gear itself (raft, tent, sleep pad, dry bags, etc.) were were very reliable and held up well ion the trip. One suggestion would be to include some oar tethers for trips running bigger rapids, for peace of mind. I made some out of extra rope that we brought along.

We had such a blast with our 11 and 12 year old kids that we went back to DRA 3 times last summer from Vancouver, WA .

All of the guides are very professional, fun, and have fun stories . The rafting equipment is also in good shape which is an added bonus .

We will definitely be back for more .We love the owners Kate and Andy.

I love Deschutes River Adventures! We have been renting rafts from them for 20 years, and they have always given us top-notch service. They always get back to me right away when I contact them, they're always right on time with deliveries and pick-ups, and the equipment has always been in great shape. They are friendly and helpful and very flexible when we've needed to make changes to dates, number of boats, etc.

Such a fun experience. We took a group trip with our fraternity, Sigma Nu, and everyone loved it. The tour guides are all super fun and very knowledgeable.
