Great food and atmosphere! Waitress wasn’t super personable but it could have just been a bad day.

Perfect brunch date with my kiddo. Friendly service, glad my crepe came with a huge side of fruit. Excellent hot chocolate and mimosa.

Really delicious brunch. I recommend breakfast special and hash salmon. They have dine-in option.

My daughter had the crab eggs Benedict and I had the special; a cobb omelet... So good! Better than I anticipated. The potatoes "Brick & Mortar style" are recommended, couldn't eat much of them... Just too full, but, VERY tasty!

Good coffee, good wait staff. A bit noisy - but, to be expected, it appeared to be "THE IT PLACE" in the Albany area. We will revisit on another one of our road trips for sure!!

This place was worth the wait. The drinks were amazing. The kicked up the quality of the classics while keeping them at a good price. There were good fresh vegetables. The food was so delicious!!! This will be a regular stop for us.

Always amazing! Great prices! This is one of the more popular breakfast shops in Albany so come with the expectations that you may have a 15-30 minute wait to be seated if you are 2-4 people. Expect a bit longer if you are a larger group. Trust me, it's well worth the wait! The food delivery to your table is quick after you order, even when it's packed. If you haven't made the trip to Brick and Mortar, do it!!

On rare occasion my fiancé and I will get up early and head to a breakfast spot. Trying this for the first time, it was good. Not great. The food was good enough—although nothing overly exciting. What brought this down for me was the coffee and service we received. Our waitress was very direct and lacking enthusiasm; however, with the tables both behind and in front of us, she was surprisingly lively and attentive. It was quite strange. The coffee tasted like it was the bottom of the carafe with a dark, semi-burnt, aged taste to it. If you’ve ever left your coffee on the burner for an hour, you’d know what I mean. Would I try it again? Maybe. But not in any rush. I imagine this place gets rated well as it is among the only breakfast spots in Albany and fits into that niche of “homemade-enough” rustic eateries.

I'd heard a lot about this place so finally decided to go. It was super busy, which is a good sign. It's very well laid out and the staff was friendly and attentive. There were plenty of servers to handle the crowed. The menu has a pretty good selection and they serve the breakfast food all day, which is cool.

It was around brunch so I ordered the biscuits and gravy. I should have known something was up when I saw the price ($10). I'm not sure why restaurants try to fancy something up that should stay basic. They added spices to the gravy or sausage and it was straight up gross. I'm pretty sure it was garlic and something else. Then there was the biscuit. instead of a nice buttermilk biscuit, it was this heavy, cakey thing. Probably passable if the gravy wasn't so bad. Even the person with me thought it was awful. Obviously the crowd was NOT there for the biscuits and gravey. They need to make it a classic recipe or just remove it from the menu.

The experience was good enough that I would like to go back and try some other items.
