Great place for breakfast or brunch! The hot chocolate was great and so was the ham and cheese crepe. Staff are attentive and nice. Get here early because there's always a long wait!
Went on a Monday and way easier to get a table. Such friendly staff and the ambiance is great. Their food is amazing. Recommend the country fried steak.
Best breakfast place in Albany!!

We don't often get to eat here but we are always impressed with the food and service. I had chicken and waffles and it was just delightful. If you go for breakfast be prepared to wait for a table.
I also had a espresso old fashion and it was delicious. I could drink that creamy goodness all day.

I really enjoyed my corned beef hash! It was very good, and a bit different from other breakfast food I have eaten. The strawberry jam was like freezer j my mom used to make. Unfortunately, my daughter's meal was kinda meh in comparison and my peppermint mocha wasn't very warm when I got it

This is our go-to for brunch in the Albany-Corvallis area. Excellent cocktails, delicious hash (salmon is our fave) and yummy pastries. Lunch is tasty, too! Mortar-style your comfort food when you can, you won't be disappointed.

We were passing through town and happened upon this cafe, and I'll tell you this... SO glad we did. I had the Chicken Caprese sandwich, and it was delicious! The lunch crowd was bustling, and the staff was hustling. Next time we are in town, we will definitely stop in for a bite to eat.

Me and my mom come here as a treat every now and then but today was awesome! Dion was really nice and helpful in helping me decide on drinks, and suggested the mortar-style hash browns to me. I got the eggs benedict with those and it was delicious!

Wow...best value for breakfast I could imagine. The portions, creativity, and taste, and presentation of food was exceptional. my favorite breakfast place in Salem is Word of Mouth... I never suspected I will find a rival to taste and creativity...bit I think I have! If you haven't had breakfast here you must try it we had eggs benedict carnitas and I just had steel cut oats with a side of sausage and eggs. Both dishes were soul food.

Long wait, good service, decent food.
There was a long wait but seemingly because it was the only quality brunch spot in town. The restaurant themselves were very expedient when handling the high volume of customers all things considered.
Our waitress May was great! Super nice and professional.
The food was decent I got the salmon hash. The salmon was a bit to salty and the hash browns were a bit under flavored but when mixed it balanced out.
The drinks was not so great. It seems like they weren't experienced when it comes to making an espresso old fashioned. The way it seemed they made it is take well whiskey, bitters, water, and espresso and mix it. The left out the simple syrup. I would fix it buy using Bulleit or Templeton for the whiskey, still cheap but not well. Then using bitters. And use Kaluha as a sub for the simple syrup of an trad old fashioned. Then of course the orange twist and a big cube.
