What a great dining experience! I ordered the Taco Salad and it was delicious! Boyfriend ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and beef vegetable soup. The meatloaf was delicious and the potatoes were hearty enough to stand up to gravy! The last dish ordered was the 4 piece fried chicken. It came with salad and choice of potato, french fries were ordered. The chicken was a beautiful golden brown and crispy without being dried out. The fries were wavy cut and crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. She made sure our coffee cups were kept full, checking on us during the meal to make sure everything was good and then BEFORE bringing the check asked if we wanted dessert! That was the topper to the meal, and we will be going back. Price wise, for 3 people it came to a reasonable $35.00.

My husband and I decided to try for the first time for dinner. The waitress was extremely nice. The food on the other hand was horrible. We ordered our steaks Medium rare. His steak was cold while mine was cold and still raw. The potatoes which were instant still had umixed clumps of powder. Needless to say neither of us are our food but still paid basically full price. We will never eat here again.

I never did try the food. I saw the ceiling fans thick with dust and the old yellow window shades and could tell that nobody really cared about this place and so I did not stay and eat because if the dining area looks this way I definitely do not want to eat from the kitchen. It needs care. I was really looking forward to trying the whip so this was dissapointing. I think I may give it a try again in a few months and see if things have changed. This place has so much potential. Cute place but managnent needs to start delegating some cleaning tasks. Servers probably shouldn't be sitting in the corner on their phone. Especially with so much to do.

The worst place i have ever ate at. They had almost nothing from the menu, what i was able to get was dry and cold. The clerk complained the entire time i was there and was slamming dishes. I will never go back to this stress attack again. Zero stars but i have to give one to pist

I haven't been here for years and suggested to my friend to go there.
The young waitress was very polite.
We ordered the lamb shank which was very good. Dessert was rice pudding.
It was OVERCOOKED, had an odd taste and very dry. When we complained the manager did NOT want to hear it. I felt so sorry for the waitress as she was afraid of the manager.
Had the waitress not been scared I would have opened my mouth and told the manager the rice pudding shouldn't be served and we shoud have gotten our money back.

Very homey inside. Service was great and you get a lot of food for the price you pay. The serving size of orange juice is a little small though. However, if you're looking for a quiet place with a nostalgic atmosphere and you dont want to spend a lot on breakfast, this is definitely your place!

I wouldn't even give this restaurant 1 star but I had to so I could write a review. The owner/so called cook of this restaurant is SO VERY RUDE !!! I can't believe that anyone that owns a business would treat a paying customer sooo badly. Her only waitresses was her daughter and a young girl just starting. My mom use to go here a lot before when there was a different owner, and the food was good and the place was clean. Now it's so dirty, dirty, dirty and the food is not great to the point I had a violent stomach ache when I got home and thought I'd might have to go to urgent care. But after throwing up I was ok.(sorry to speak about something so gross) but I just don't want someone else to go through what I did.

We went in there to have a meal. There was very little heat, and they had the ceiling fans on, except one. I asked if they could turn the fans off because it was freezing. They said the manager won't let them. People had to wear their coats to keep warm. Then, because I said something my dinner portion was half, and the others in my party were double. Dessert time, they had full sizes of pie and I had a half dollar size strawberry shortcake with 2 strawberries and a literally 1/2 a can of Redi whip on top. Poor management. It's a shame too. The owner needs to step in and find new management, and new cooks. Because the management is the cook with a resentful attitude.

Family style food at a great price. Old school decor from the 1960s. Great breakfast staples and Friday fish fries. Every time I go there or get carry out I remember coming to eat after Sunday mass with my grandmother.
