Stopped by on a whim, met a great owner Aaron. Everything made in house, awesome exotic tea selection, coffee, and small pastries. Definitely recommend stopping by to say hi.

I love the Fox & Fig, and to be honest Spruce Pine is fortunate to have a place like it. The coffee is great but the scratch-made cookies, bread, and bagels are out of this world good. Sometimes I take a bite and completely lose track of where I am in my life, in time, in the universe. I certainly lose track of whatever my dear wife was saying to me at that time, looking up with tears of joy in my eyes. The turkey, chipotle mayo, pickled onion, and lettuce sandwich on "English muffin toast" is simply my favorite sandwich ever. Full stop. No overstatement.

Why Google, why did you ask me to leave a review today??? I wasn't planning on going in to town, but now I crave their wholesome food and the "watering-hole of interesting people" atmosphere. The owners are kind and genuine, the staff's great. Ugggh just go already. I'm going.

Excellent espresso drinks. limited selection of food, but very good cookies, bagels and quiche. Friendly and funny staff. Missing a star because food (and drink) orders come out sequentially. If you're eating with others it would be nice for the food to be ready at nearly the same time.

Great coffee house. Best Latte my husband and I have ever had! We also loved our yogurt parfait with homemade granola and fresh peaches as well as tasty raspberry bar. The experience was so great, we came back the next day for the lunch specials and had a great quiche, wonderful tomato sandwich (with real tomatoes) and an awesome homemade ginger cookie.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. I had a bagel sandwich and a regular coffee, my SO had a caramel latte and a breakfast special that came with eggs and biscuits and gravy. We were both blown away. The bagel (everything) was the by far the best bagel I've ever had. My only regret is that I don't live closer.

First of all, everyone was wearing a mask while we were there over Labor Day weekend. The food was amazing but it took over 45 minutes to get a biscuit and eggs. They said they were short handed and no other breakfast places were open so it was crowded, but still, 45 minutes? However, times are not normal and I will give it another try because the biscuits were amazing.

Great selection of both food and beverage. We ordered an array of things from bagel sandwiches to quiche, tea lattes to pour overs and everything was wonderful. The music selection was also on point. Highly recommend for anyone stopping through the area.

Wonderful coffee bar. An asset to our small mountain town and rural county. Run by a lovely young family dedicated to our community. Fox and the Fig serves a full range of coffee and tea drinks and a tempting assortment of homemade breakfast, brunch, and lunch foods. Best homemade bagels I've ever had. Perfect atmosphere for visiting with family and friends or for getting work done. We celebrated when this place opened five years ago, and we were right to do so. It's become a fixture in our community. Come support it!

When I think of a small mountain town coffee shop, this is *exactly* what I had in mind. This place is so cute it almost hurts. The staff are incredibly friendly (and patient, I'm picky and weird 😅), the coffee is magnificent and the bagels are *chefs kiss* delicious. Yes, traveling New Yorkers and New Jersians - I think even YOU would be pleased by these delicious bagels.

Fellow WRITERS: this is exactly where you want to post up and get your creative juices flowing. Fast Wi-Fi, as mentioned before - amazing coffee, comfy mismatched couches, chairs, tables, local art (it's good, too!) and very appropriate lighting. Just make sure you TIP WELL if you're going to take up space.

This might be in my top 5 favorites coffee shops I've ever visited. 12/10 recommend.

This place is spectacular. I go every time I am in Spruce Pine. In 10+ visits here the food is consistently healthy, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Very vegetarian friendly. Coffee is top notch. Feel so lucky it is in Spruce Pine. Better than any similar shop in Asheville!
