Parking is a tad challenging but the coffee and atmosphere is worth it

Great place to stop for coffee and a bagel if you are in 5 points. The staff here is also very nice and welcoming!

After moving to the triangle area I was becoming a bit homesick and missing art and deeply cozy coffee culture. After a full morning of driving to different shops I found this wonderful place. Excellent americano/espresso, cozy atmosphere, good art, vegan food options, and they aren't afraid to paint the bathroom sinks with crazy designs. Definitely a must-visit. Staff were friendly and helpful too!

Been going here since 1997. I've always enjoyed the cool, laid-back atmosphere. The staff is nice and they make my drink right every time. If you want to get a mocha and chill out for a while, The Third Place is right on the best place in Five Points to do so. Also great for after pizza coffee once you're done eating next door. :-D

Stopped here for a quick bite before leaving Raleigh, after visiting a friend. Cool, swanky cafe. Had the blueberry and cheese danish which is now my favorite and a side of homemade chai w/honey. The ladies that worked there are super nice. Definitely will return on my next visit there

Coffee drink was really good. Barista was helpful. it was packed inside so clearly the popular place. Some people working some people socializing. A number of outside tables. Unfortunately they were getting ready to work on the windows so my time was cut short. They didn't have scones but I had a large blueberry muffin that was okay. Bathroom was clean.

For a coffee shop: Atmosphere and customer service are great!

Also for a coffee shop: Speed and quality of food/drink for the $$ is way off. Whoever runs this place needs to spend more time at the shop to do a better job of staffing and managing it.

Ever evolving, I have been patronizing since 1997. It can be up and down depending on staff, but that's any coffee shop. It's an old Raleigh local favorite serving a great wholesome organic breakfast and local coffee. Kid and dog friendly, quite busy with both on weekend mornings. It's better to park a couple blocks away after 8am just in general, especially on weekends.

This is my neighborhood coffee shop - a great place to meet colleagues or friends mid-week, or to walk in for breakfast on weekends. The coffee is good, I'd say, the house blend is usually medium roasted. I see many people ordering specialty espresso drinks - not my thing. The bacon, egg and spinach breakfast burrito is my usual food pick. It is packed with spinach, and is a bit bitter, but the optional bacon makes it also indulgent. My kids always go for a bacon, egg and cheese bagel, and they share a cinnamon twist - a reasonable balance of nutrition and sweetness. :-)

To me, the ambiance is also a great draw. I like walking there with my dog, and use one of the outsider tables; or I use an inside table for work meetings, and I sit on one of the loungy couches if I am there with family or friends. David, the owner, is a cool dude - calls patrons by their name, shows art from fledgling local artists and neighbors, and somehow seems to recruit and train interesting, complex, diligent staff.

All out, my favorite place to drink coffee and fee grounded.

Best coffee shop in Raleigh. Owner and staff make you feel like family. Quality food, artistic atmosphere a sense of curated comfort and kindness. Oh and the coffee is smooth and brewed to perfection.
