Wonderful establishment. I got the maple ginger coffee w. macaroons and apple cheesecakes - and let me just say WOW! Delicious. Atmosphere was chill, and baristas were super informative and friendly. I will definitely return. Great job 😊

I have been a traveling medical professional for over 5 years all over the U.S. This coffee house and it’s menu is out of this world. The coffee is perfect every time and the food, especially the Vietnamese Bahn’ Mi is to die for! They have seating inside and out, beautiful clean interior and the staff is very accommodating and attentive. I would recommend Idle Hour over any competitor. I can hardly wait to come back to Raleigh.

It was the best Chai Latte I ever had. Extremely nice and friendly staff. Love the vibe and interior.
But please, please, please add some “nut” milk to your menu. Coconut/Almond/Cashew…. any nut.
For substitute milk they have only Oat milk. And Oat milk is very sugary + sometimes has gluten.

Its a semi ok coffee shop. The mocha was a bit bitter( layering a dusting of baking cacao powder on top contributed to that I think) Pros:The barristas were friendly & they had fresh flowers on the tables
Other Cons: hard to find until you pass it by & have to circle the block again to find the Parking lot. Not enough seating.

I saw this cute coffee shop on the news so when I was in Raleigh doing some Christmas shopping, I just had to go there. The desserts looked absolutely beautiful and after I tried teramasue dessert, I was in love!!! It was amazingly delicious!!! I can't wait to go to Raleigh again so that I can go back and try a different dessert. I can see why this coffee shop made the news.....Idle Hour Coffee is definitely the best coffee shop I had ever been to!!!

My family and I love this place. They have good coffee, interesting and imaginative sandwiches, wonderful and beautiful looking sweets, but the thing that keeps us coming back is the fantastical Tepuy sourdough donuts.

Idle Hour is a lovely little coffee shop. They always have some good music playing. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who know how to make traditional Matcha and pour overs. They brew local, organic coffee and serve THE BEST Donuts around! Tepuy Donuts are mouth watering. The bread is also top notch. Also there's a creative and diverse selection of breakfast sandwiches. I love stopping by on a hot summer day for iced oatmilk Matcha lattes and some of the tastiest nitro cold brew in town. Definitely recommend Idle Hour to any and all coffee aficionados!

I just found this hidden gem on a recent trip to Raleigh. The banh mi sandwich and matcha latte are absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to come back and try everything else! The staff is great and the vibe is completely relaxed. I love this place!!!
