Idle Hour Coffee Roasters

I came here with my wife while visiting Raleigh and I can't say enough awesome things about this place. The service was impeccable and the treats were delicious. Each item is hand-made every morning and you can tell. Marissa had recommended the raspberry-filled white chocolate mushroom and the caramel apple cheesecake. Both were off the charts with flavor. SO GOOD! My wife tried the made-in-house lavendar honey syrup in her coffee. Despite never having a floral flare in her coffee before, she was blown away by the flavor. The atmosphere inside the shop and on the patio area was very chill and laid back. A great place to do some work or meet with friends to chat. 5/5 - will definitely be going back next time I'm in Raleigh!!

First time here. Interesting environment...charming, inviting curb appeal but the nterior lacks connectivity.
Good coffee. Desserts are unique in designed but are pretty much all cheesecake and in my humble opinion, disappointing overall in flavor and texture. Donuts were a bit dry. Sorry....cute shop but not the 4.5 star experience I was hoping for

They can sling a cap and get all the details right with the cup and environment. Very underrated with some of the best coffee in Raleigh.

Limited inside seating on busy mornings. Nice outside seating on busy street. Great coffee!

Nathan makes the best cappuccino I’ve ever had! And I’m old and been drinking coffee since I was a small child! Ask for him next time you visit Idle Hour. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you, Nathan! I look forward to my morning cappuccino! ☕️

Really cute coffee shop and delicious pastries/cookies. Would not recommend the Vietnamese iced coffee though. Tastes very burnt and like smoke. Everything else is great though. Friendly workers and nice atmosphere

Unfortunately the staff was very rude and we won’t be visiting again. I tried to voice a concern and they could have cared less, rolling their eyes and walking away from me. Terrible customer service and shouldn’t have to deal with that when trying to support a local small business.

My daughter and I visited Idle Hour Coffee Roasters just recently. As soon as we entered, the staff greeted and welcomed us in. They must already have quite a following of regulars, because they knew it was our 1st time there before we told them it was. We both thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and sandwiches. I asked our server about the open faced sandwich concept and was informed that the chef creates recipes especially for Idle Hour. So selections may change with the seasonal availability of herbs and veggies. Can you say fresh? The desserts are so amazing that I ordered another one 'to go' so I could enjoy it later. You have got to go check this place out. You definitely won't regret it. I am already planning our next visit.

The food was great, but $8 for one piece of bread is just dumb.
