Having a sit down coffee shop is something that is missing in downtown Raleigh. Regardless of the style of coffee you like, I think it is pretty good. I think their normal drip coffee is great, and if you want something special such as a pour over, you won't be disappointed.

The place is such a vibe! It’s such a shame that although I requested an iced almond milk latte, my latte was not what I thought it to be. It was very bitter and left a weird after taste in my mouth. I asked for vanilla but it did not taste like vanilla at all. Needless to say my stomach did not enjoy it. I sure hope it was a one time thing because I hope not all their beverages taste this way.

I went in October and didn’t have the best experience. The girl working was super rude and made the worst iced tea I’ve ever had. We ordered two iced genmaichas and they were watery with zero flavor, she clearly did not brew them correctly. We ordered 3 donuts, the chocolate ginger, candied lime, and yuzu mint. The citrus flavors were good but the chocolate flavor was very weak, almost like cheap chocolate syrup, and there was no ginger flavor. The donut texture was great though!

Me and my friend came in today for our first time and though the shop was very nice, the vibe and energy was just really negative coming from the 2 women workers that was working. My friend asked her a question asking if she can sit down while looking at the menu and then other little questions (being our first time coming) and when the worker answered, she kept going to the other worker laughing and talking…. And when we sat down and got our coffee, it came in a to go cup and my friend asked the worker “can this be in a glass cup” and the worker said “no were only doing to go” and she walked behind the counter and looked like she was whispering to the other worker again laughing…. Then when she came back to my table when I ordered another coffee, I asked her “why couldn’t this be in a glass cup” and she said “oh our washer is broke” and walked back the counter and talked to her coworker again giggling… LIKE if you wanna say something or got a problem… say it to our face… they were just really rude and hella bad energy…. Straight immature..

Best tea place bar none. Really good coffee, even decaf. Servers are so nice, the decor is top of the line. You can buy some kitchen gadgets or Japanese imports (ie Sake) and the music is inspiring (picked up some new bands listening to their choices) It's a Must-Stop-By place just across from the train station. Whomever created this place, they did it with style, intelligence and lots of love! They also make breakfast & lunch items that are creative and tasty. Check it out!

Food was good. Customer service was terrible. Went in to pick up an online order and we were already 10 min later than the scheduled time. The barista didn't look at me or talk to me or even just say hi when I walked in. I proceeded to ask about my order and she simply said "it's not ready". No more communication at all. 10 min later I asked again how long it's gonna take and she said she didn't know. Then she said they had a printer issue that caused the delay and that's something that she couldn't control. So... why didn't you lead with that? Only 3 people were dining in when I came in. Food finally came out 25 min later than the scheduled pick up time.

All the stars went to food. Char siu sandwich and scallion omelette are delicious, but probably won't come back. Hope the owners will see all the negative reviews complaining about the waiting time and customer service and make some change.

Edit after the reply: I completely understand that businesses, especially local and minority owned, can have very hard time during the pandemic, but as all the other people who left similar reviews mentioned, it's not a single case. If anything, businesses should be able to better the service during the special times - not trying to be demanding, just think customers can also be affected by the pandemic. I agree that reaching out to owners is a good way to communicate issues but other potential customers should be aware that this is an existing problem that should be taken into consideration when they choose where to eat.

cool atmosphere. But awful service. Waited 45min for a singular rock hard chicken biscuit with no flavor. Upon asking staff after 25min, was told it’d be another 10min (false) and no attempt to help rectify the issue. This was on a non-busy, noon day. DO not come. Save your money and go to literally any other shop in town . I hope reviews like this are seen so the ownership can improve this place

Coffee was great, however I waited 32 minutes for the breakfast plate and the place was half empty. Then I did not ask for it to go but I guess since I asked 28 after waiting how much longer it would be they wanted me out so they gave it to me in a to go bag. After sitting there over half an hour I decided to just take my food and it eat it somewhere else. Ugh it was terrible, I did ask the eggs be a little overdone because I don’t like them slimy but this was burnt like everything was burnt and just horrible. So much for my $20 breakfast, do not waste you money, stop by only for coffee.

They have WiFi, and amazing matcha and ambiance- food not so healthy, but decadent. The reviews about the food taking a while are true, they are light-staffed. Tho the matcha cookie was amazing. My husband got the pork biscuit and the biscuit was over cooked/kinda hard - so given that this place is so heavy influenced by biscuits on the menu that was a bit disappointing.

The 2 inch piece of sausage wasn’t even edible. Coffee and tea are ok. But the food was terrible
