Loved my chai tea. The coffee shop is cute and the staff is very friendly.

Great little coffee shop. Visited every day during our week long vacation. Their iced latte was solid, and my wife loved their decaf offerings. Oh, and grab a carrot bran muffin... delicious. Service was first class too. See you next summer!

This place is absolutely incredible! Found it the second half of our vacation and stopped every day and even bought beans to take home. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and incredibly friendly! You feel so welcome walking through the door! Plus the food and coffee are amazing. Highly highly recommend!

*Please read the business' responses to the negative reviews (which are mostly about the same individual) - these combative, petty responses are indicative of the way this business handles their customers. Very odd to see a business handle customer feedback this way, and I would double down on NOT taking your business here.*
Original (and accurate) review and account of what occurred:
Giving a 1 star review due to the complete lack of hospitality and customer service.
Disclaimer: If you have young children, toddlers or babies - I would not choose to be a customer here. We took our baby cousins here for morning coffee, and were berated and told to leave due to the “noise” the children were making (they were singing and mind you, they’re 2 years old).
The way we were treated was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I would not recommend taking your business here.

I can't imagine a better way to start my day than by walking in and being greeted by the owner's two lovely golden retrievers (Lorelai and Laila, I think?).
The space was super cozy; however, because it was so small, there wasn't a ton of seating available. In terms of accessible outlets, the central table with ~6 chairs around it had a power strip tower. The staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my coffee and s'mores cookie, as well as seeing the cute "silly face" mugs on the walls. Priced were super reasonable. This was my personal favorite coffee shop that I visited on my trip to the Outer Banks.

(2022) The store has become busier over the years and appears to have changed ownership at one point. Depending upon the time, it can be very busy but they work quickly. The busy time make it feel crowded due to the small space.
With all the changes, the constant has been the delicious coffee!
The do offer an arrangement of bagels, muffins, etc to compliment you beverage of choice.
Open 6am - 5pm daily. (closed on Sundays)
They now also offer online or call orders.
(2010) Always a pleasure. The shop changes a little over the years, but always remains a warm and welcome place to visit. The coffee is excellent (I prefer the iced mochas) but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Make sure to stop in and say hi to the crew and give the house dog some lovins'

Their coffee is amazing. Staff is absolutely lovely and we were greeted by the most adorable golden retrievers. What more could you want to start your morning 💕

Best coffee shop i have been to. Welcoming and nice baristas and prices are fair. Had to make the drive there again before leaving the OBX!!

Ive been stop by Morning View on my way back from my biannual holiday in NC for the past four years. The coffee is great, the staff is friendly, and the little touches like offering to heat the muffins are a welcome distraction from the reminder that I have to go back to the DC area.

I don’t often post a review. I consider myself to be a pleasant, encouraging customer. We went to Morning View on Thursday, July 8, it would be our 4th visit for the week. We’ve been coming to the Outer Banks for our family vacation for 12 years now, and have included Morning View as a part of our experience for years. At home throughout the year I start my day with coffee in my Morning View coffee mug, somehow it brings wonderful memories. You all have truly made us feel connected, almost like extended family because of the way you engaged us and treated us over the years. We were devastated yesterday when we stopped for the 4th time this week. We stopped last year as well, during the pandemic several times during our vacation as well. It wasn’t nearly as busy, as my memory serves we were always the only customers in the store, but we came to support you and to get the best beverages in the Outer Banks. My wife and I also have intentionally been extremely generous in tipping during this time we know how difficult it has been on people in the service industry. We did last summer and we did yesterday as well.
So yesterday something went terribly wrong, to the point that you will never again have to deal with me or my family again. I placed my order as I always do, the others in the group did as well I paid and shortly we received our beverages. Now things get worse. When I tasted my drink something wasn’t right. I genuinely, politely asked if it was the right drink I was told abruptly that “It was what I ordered.” They had moved into the next order, it’s a wonderful system, efficient orders come out pretty quick moving from one to the next. I was obviously an unwelcome interruption. I said again trying to get some connection I’m not sure this is what I ordered. I was told if I wanted a different drink “I’d have to pay for it!” I responded sure, I’d be happy to do that. She seemed really angry with me. This could have been handlers in such a better way. First she could have professionally engaged me, we could have resolved the issue in a polite way. I know “the customer is always right” day has past, I don’t think it should have ever been that way in the first place but I wasn’t asking for anything extra, I didn’t want a refund I just wanted the beverage that I’ve gotten many, many times before. At each step things got worse, it was embarrassing for me, it was embarrassing for your staff, store and brand. I reordered my beverage, paid and waited. My drink came up and it tasted great. But at every turn it seemed the staff member wanted to be rude and unkind to me. I had left the drink that had not been made properly on the counter. The employee asked if I wanted to take it and I asked if she could just throw it away. She said in a very loud voice “If you want a refund I’ll give you one and you can never come back in the store.” What I thought? I had never once asked about a refund, not once. When she said I would have to pay for the drink I wanted I said fine, and I did. This wasn’t about the money.
Let me assure you you won’t have to ever again deal with me or my family ever again. I know you have plenary of business, lots of customers and you won’t miss us. You really don’t care. I guess that’s what makes it so sad. You spent years developing more thank a business relationship with us, you made us feel like family. We cared about you, and when the pandemic was happening last summer we patronized your establishment. My wife and I visited with you, we were the only customers in the shop for a long time. I suspect if your staff continues treating customers in this fashion your business may not be there much longer, or it may. You may simply dismiss this review. At any rate I’m going to replace that Morning View coffee mug with one from another coffee shop we’ve found. We ARE one of those families that you spent years investing in, developing a long term relationship with that is now gone. In one incredibly destructive, rude encounter gone.
