Waterbean Coffee

Coffee was quite good - but did take a while. Drinks are measured out per shot and ground per shot, which does take add'l time. And it was quite expensive. 2 drinks were $14. And parking isn't ideal: one-way to the back with just a few tight spots. Parking also behind the restaurant next door is probably the best. It takes time for things to get a groove so I will go back again and update after that. Update: I've been here about 10x now. Coffee is very good. Food is a bit lacking for the cost; I.e. salmon bagel has about 1/2 oz of salmon one time and 2oz another time. They inconsistently either call the food name and leave it at the bar, and sometimes they bring it to the table. Would be much easier to take the customer name like that main stream place [hint hint]. This creates frustration for people that got up to get theirs. The bus tray for dirty dishes is comically small - holds about 2 dishes.

Higher price, but very good. Even their decaf has good flavor.

1 year update: I haven't tried any lattes or other fancy drinks, but if you want just a basic cup of hot coffee that doesn't need to be doctored up with flavors and sugars, this place is it. I just get half n half in mine, and the coffee itself has such great flavor it doesn't need anything else.

I love this coffee shop! Employees are always so nice. Coffee is great! I’d chose this place over Starbucks any day. You won’t be disappointed the atmosphere is perfect, always makes my day just a little bit better!!

Cutest new coffee shop in town. Macaroons highly recommended! I hope hickory gets some more spots like these! Also friendly staff! Will be back!

Great coffee and hot chocolate. Delicious banana bread also! Good atmosphere and nice staff, easy wifi access and password available.

I decided to send my friend here to get breakfast for us. I got a bagel , a iced coffee & some macaroons everything was absolutely yummy. Will definitely be ordering here again
