Coffee was good pic of location needs to be updated moved to a different bldg. Maybe a better sign to attract tourist better.

If you are on vacation to Hatteras island and craving coffee, this place has delicious coffee. We went here on a quick stop and it eventually turned into an everyday habit. They also have a store inside of their coffee shop that sells unique souvenirs such as key chains, etc. I enjoyed this coffee shop and if you are ever near it, I would recommend stopping and trying it and you might make a habit of it too.

Great little coffee shop. Love the friendly feeling you get from the staff. Their house brew hot coffee is very good. They also have some fun different flavored iced coffees to mix it up.

Order was taken front a bright young lad who was, very confidently, enjoying making drinks and taking orders. Both our drink orders were made to order and were delicious. Very chill atmosphere inside. Great place!
Update: went back a year later and was greeted by smiling faces, however the blended coffees we ordered along with the iced coffees were very weak and tasted watery. Very disappointed as we had been looking forward to coming every morning on our vacation.

Best coffee place on the island. I ended up going here every morning for the frozen milky way coffee. The sticky buns were really, really good as well. Will definitely be back here next vacation!

My family has been coming to Hatteras since my mom was a child. We accumulate a few favorite shops and restaurants as the years go on that we always make a point of visiting. The Dancing Turtle has been one of those shops for several years, but this year it really earned a special place in our hearts. With Coronavirus, we unfortunately couldn’t visit many of our favorites due to a lack of proper hygiene and social distance enforcement. This place did amazingly! Mask required, marked spots on the floor for distance, an entirely rearranged floor plan for safety of guests and staff, and plexiglass barriers. THANK YOU! I’m sure you don’t always get the love for this that you deserve but wow, that really made a difference in our week. Amazing coffee. Safe environment. Friendly staff. Oh and they sell art too! Can’t go wrong.

This coffee shop was everything I hoped it would be. I was greeted by two sweet dogs and a man who I assume was the owner. I ordered a vanilla latte and a macchiato and both were delicious. I also had a spinach croissant that was super yummy. I bought a cinnamon roll to bring to my husband. I also bought four bags of coffee to bring back to Charlotte for myself and for gifts. Thanks for a great experience! Will be back next time!

The Dancing Turtle is a must visit while in Hatteras. It is the fancy coffee shop on the island. The coffee selection is wonderful and the service is always great. There is quite a bit of art work available for sale. This is a clean family oriented place to go. I will definitely visit them anytime I am down that way!

Best espresso on the island and perhaps the outer banks. Great coffee and a wonderful open space to relax. Sadly, and contrary to the establishment name, there is no coffee that tastes like turtles, let alone dancing turtles. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Absolutely LOVED this place!! Everything about it, the service, the coffee, the little gifts, the ambience, the mini tables with chess and checkers, EVERYTHING was perfect. I literally bought three of “my” coffees before my long 10 hour drive home to Pennsylvania! (My coffee=caramel haze with extra caramel! TO DIE FOR!)
