I love Amelies. But this location was not my favorite. the service was not what i expected from Amelies and where other locations have a quirky and intimate atmosphere, this location is a big loud box full of people.

First time visiting this specific location. Nice outdoor covered space.

A very cute café however my second time and they are all out of chocolate croissants. If that item so high in demand why not make more?

I worked at a pastry shop when I was 16 and have spent the last 20 years looking for a pastry shop that could match or rival with my first love. THIS PLACE IS IT!!!! This place far exceeded my expectations, i have been to many pastry shops with beautiful cases that meant nothing when it came to taste. The almond tea cakes had a light crunch of freshness on the outside edges, delicately light and moist on the inside!!! The cream on the strawberry pastry was light and airy but not too sweet, which I abhor and feel is commonly a sign of unrefined baking in mass production. You can tell they put the love into these pastries! The coffee was killer to boot!
Luckily, I was leaving at 6 in the morning for a trip and stopped here, what a treat to be open that early. I really cannot recommend enough! ❤️❤️❤️

The place and service are great. I just wish they opened till later on the weekdays. They close at 9pm so if you’re a student or someone who works late and want to hang out with your friends, this won’t be an option. Other than that, this place is very nice and the location is awesome. Lots of seating areas.

Place is fantastic. Coffee is awesome and pastries and deserts are freshly made. They also have very good breakfast sandwiches.Highly recommend.

This is a quaint casual cafe. I enjoyed a light brunch here with a friend, who is vegan. We both enjoyed coffee and dessert. The food was light, fresh, and well balanced; not too sweet.

I love their food but the birthday cake I picked up yesterday was a big disappointment. It was a chocolate Tuxedo cake, but it was very dry. Also, it didn't have ganache or mousse on the inside--just frosted between layers with the same frosting. There were no chocolate curls, instead little mini chocolate chips which kept rolling of the plate. I've had good cakes from this location before, so I expected a lot more. It needed the mousse to offset the bitter dark chocolate taste. It crumbled when cut into. NO one finished their piece. Sad.

I really love Amélie’s because of the funky vibe, and the food is decent. But ugh the staff. They’re nice, but they never listen to you. Here’s a typical order for me:
Hi! What can I get for you?
Large oat milk hot latte, please!
Anything else?
No, thank you.
OK, regular hot latte. Is that for here or to go?
Umm, no. Large, please. And oat milk. And it’s for here. Mug, please.
Gotcha! Can I get a name?
Christopher.
Right. Anything else?
Umm…no, thank you [again].
Got it!
And what was the name for that order?
Christopher. 🤦♂️
Five minutes later: “Latte for Chris!” (and of course it’s in a to go cup).
🤦♂️
It’s like this more times than it’s not.
Train your staff to LISTEN. It’s so disrespectful.

Their pastires are really small for the price, and some of them like the eclairs are overcooked. They close to early, the should stay open on the weekday until at least 10. There's no where to hang out in Pineville where it's not a bar environment.
But other thank that, the place is great. Love going there for our meetings, meet-ups. Occasional sweet tooth. Just to get out of the house and relax. I wish they would have installed some sound proof panels or something, it gets loud when it's packed. I like going there when it's quieter. Love their loose leaf tea options. Hard to find good tea around here if it's not a tea shop.
