I was in the area and have always loved a little mom and pop place to eat. The place was clean except the bathrooms. I think they could be cleaner. I had to use the men's room because the female bathroom door wouldn't close. I ordered the grits, bacon and eggs and my husband ordered the other in the photo. The breakfast was great except the grits. They had no flavor and they were very watery. I'm a huge grit lover and always get them with my breakfast. Idk if it's just the cook but I've never had soupy grits. I would love to come back to this place in the future but I do hope they can get the grits correct next time.

I stopped on a trip to TN. It really close to I-40 which I love but the food was just pretty good. I ordered the Super Bear Bowl with the white gravy and it was average. The biscuit was anything special but the combination of the "bowl" made up for it. I'd stop again because of the convenience off the highway and my preference for "local" restaurants when on trips, but I wouldn't make a special trip.

If you're in to comfort food, this is the place to stop. A true slice of diner Americano. The service was wonderful, and the server was polite. If you're hungry like a bear, you will leave like a full one. Cheers!!

We are from out of state, It was a Great place, the breakfast biscuits sandwiches were so good. It's a little local joint, no fancy, no hipster, just damn good & reasonable food. As to which, we came back a second time for those Breakfast sandwiches! Place needs a good power wash and paint outside, but didn't care. The food made the place!

Man this was the best Breakfast I have eaten in a long time. I loved the homestyle taters and the bologna egg and cheese on toast. My wife said the white gravy was to die for. And the scramble eggs were so good. I will so be back to this place and try lunch. But for sure will eat breakfast here again. So stop by and try for yourself how good this place is.

A tiny hometown gem where people are asked if they want their usual , how charming. The food is good home cooking fair served promptly by friendly staff. This restaurant gives you that hometown feeling of days gone by where everyone knows your name !

My wife and I recently spent a week in Asheville. After seeing some reviews about this restaurant we decided to check it out for breakfast. So glad we did! It's a great option to get away from chain restaurants. This diner is truly home cooking at its finest. The only exception to that from what we ate would be the home fries. They seemed to be from a frozen bag of home fries. But everything else we had seemed to defintely be homemade and delicious! The pancakes were some of the lightest and fluffiest I think I've ever eaten. Their sausage patties are flavorful with the right amount of seasoning. The French Toast is perfection. Eggs over medium were cooked the way they should be - the whites were cooked through (but not rubbery) and the yolk still runny. We ended up going back for a second day because everything was so good. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit one morning and it was truly delightful. The service was terrific and the place was full of locals. That tells you the food is excellent! We will make this a go-to for our future trips! One thing to note is that the prices on their website are not acurate so plan on a couple dollars higher than what you see.

This place is right off the highway. They have great coffee and biscuits. The service was excellent. 2 servers for 10 tables and they handled it with grace. Don’t let the outside appearance turn you off, the inside is clean and the food is warm.

Best hash browns around. Good portions, friendly atmosphere.

This quaint place is surely a local spot. They have a very simple and straightforward menu. Cheap eats that is better than fast food. My husband enjoyed the burger and I had the country fried steak. Skip the fries and select the other sides if you can.
