Very small, okay food. Hard working people.

This is the way breakfast should be. Simply one of the best in asheville. Just a good down home breakfast.

The woman who waited on us was very nice. Our burgers were good, but our fries were awesome. Homemade, thick-cut french fries and a lot of them. A very cozy cafe to stop at.

This past trip I was a little disappointed. I had to ask multiple times for lemon in my water, among other issues. Never brought it to me. Waitress was definitely not the norm as I'm use to especially at Hungry Bear. Food great, just can't get past service, that definitely was flat.

Very cute cafe. Food was cheap and delicious! Went for breakfast. French toast, omelet, and biscuits with gravy were all liked by members of my group. Would recommend if you're looking for a local breakfast or lunch joint.

I love this place! For my summer internship my friends and I eat here each morning. Food is great! Place feels very homey and everyone is so kind. Great atmosphere 😄

This is by far my favorite place to eat in Asheville! The waitresses are so sweet and you will feel so welcome! It’s the most at home I’ve ever felt in a restraunt! The service is quick and food is amazing! An amazing southern breakfast place!

Portions large & tasty. Despatraetly needs updating and husband had to go up to counter to pay check as no one ever came back over after food was delivered. Seemed like more of a locals place where they know how things are done.

We were traveling to Asheville and chose Hungry Bear purely based on other Google reviews - it was awesome!! Quick service, incredibly reasonable prices and large portions! Great home style cooking!

COVID breeding ground.

Good food but does not follow COVID precautions at all. I enter this store somewhat regularly for deliveries and while the staff have always been kind to me, the restaurant has always been extremely packed with no masks on anyone. I'm usually extremely uncomfortable coming in there. I know it's an incredibly tough time for restaurants right now, but an attempt should be made to take this situation seriously instead of the strange game of russian roulette I feel that I play when I come inside.
