They don't have the Chicken and Biscuits on the menu anymore so that's disappointing. Had to repeat my order a couple of times because the lady at the counter "did not have caffeine yet", and had to do two transactions despite the order items being the exact same. Not the Homegrown I remember from a year ago.

Didn't have a mask when I walked in (because I'm from a state where we never had a mandate). Employee in the kitchen (male with black hair and beard) looked me in the eyes and said "A lot of entitlement...very entitled.." If you want to work at a restaurant start by being polite to customers LOL. Very inclusive of you! Sad that employees have stooped to low-level comments to customers faces just because they don't have a mask for the 2 seconds they are ordering.

Had an amazing Cuban sandwich outside on a nice day. Roasted Brussels on the side, local soda, nice staff. Great place to eat after a day at Carrier Park or Amboy

What a nice find in Asheville. Food was really good, hot and fresh. Several unique and original items to order on the menu. The tomato basil soup was awesome. Very cool area in the back of the restaurant that has additional seating, swings, and a fire pit.

My roommates and I stopped by here and loved it! We love the set up and all the different drink choices. It’s next to our favorite parks and the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable!

Perfect. Relaxed, family-friendly, delicious, reasonably priced, and healthy. Nothing but smiles from customers and staff members. Counter order from a chalkboard menu brought to your table in a wooded area along a creek. If I were local I'd eat here three times a week.

Great gluten free options and unlimited iced tea is what I needed after a day climbing at the gym. Relaxing backyard seating and chill environment. All food options are healthy, tasty, and great prices. A regular stop for my family.

On a positive note, the West location and ambiance are awesome. But...I've given Home Grown West about 7-8 tries because it was more convenient than Merrimon. My to-go orders were messed up twice. The chicken pot pie had 1-2 pieces of chicken in it. The worst thing however is the food is not the same. They don't warn you and I feel that is huge disservice. If you are not going to have the exact same menu/ingredients please let guests know or change the name of the restaurant. Also, for any restaurant, most customers don't mind additions but don't like change. I absolutely love the Merrimon Home Grown.

Over an hour wait once seated for a plate of fried chicken. A number of other tabes also had bad issues getting their food in a timely manner.

On the plus side I was entertained by the dozen or so flies that were buzzing around their dining room.

Plenty of outdoor space, good food.
