Love this quaint restaurant! Came here for a late lunch and definitely was starving after a long drive on the parkway. The food and ambience was truly amazing and definitely a top notch place for a break.

P.S. my wife left her purse here and after momentarily freaking out, we found it here and they were gracious enough to come back after hours to help her out! Good people do still exist!

The breakfast is delicious! I had the fried chicken with pimento cheese. The prices are more than fair and the coffee has a nice balanced flavor. Cool atmosphere, too. They have penty of outdoor seating on a nice day and they are dog-friendly. They are all about saving the earth and recycling, which it was nice to see my values align with a great business like this. Thanks for the great experience 😀

Visited this place while they were doing a Billyween meet-up during Billy Strings' Asheville Halloween run. The whole place was busy, which made us all very happy, the food was great and the drinks were spectacular! Make sure you get a bloody mary!

We have been coming to this place for years because of convenience to our house while on walks on the greenway but after numerous chances, I give up. The staff is usually rude (we come here at least once a week and ALWAYS leave 20% tip with take out..) and the food has been declining in quality. Employee with dark hair and beard mumbled something rude under his breath and rolled his eyes when I came here with my baby in tow
 really?

Look at the scant amount of vegetables I got on my roasted vegetable sandwich today—I can’t believe I paid $8 for this.

The smoothies are good but the portion sizes and quality of everything else on the menu continue to decline. Will be taking my business elsewhere, makes me sad because I wanted to love this “neighborhood cafe”

Food is great. Had breakfast sandwiches. Get th local saucage - very good. Coffee is spectacular! Hash brown could use some onion and seasoning.

This place was very good! We got the cuban and the chicken salad sandwiches. My wife is from Cuba and liked their twist on the sandwich. Only 1 complaint I think they're a little heavy on the horseradish for our taste but overall very good. Smoothies were good. The service is fantastic.

Avoid. Food and service were terrible. Look at this pathetic excuse of a meal, akin to a slop cafeteria kitchen. I've never seen eggs that look or taste so unappetizing. Grey in color, in fact. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but couldn't get through them.

The coffees were appalling - as if the milk was boiled until burnt then poured on top of coffee that had been idling on the burner for weeks.

The staff couldn't have cared less about customer service (unless you count having weird buzzers like you'd see at a chain restaurant to let you know when your meal (at least part of it) is ready for pickup. One staff member seemed more intent on loudly bantering with the cooks and talking on the phone than actually handing over our drinks that had been sitting there ready for ages...)

I've heard the fried chicken is decent (but I don't eat meat), there's plenty of outdoor seating, and the music they were playing was alright, but those are hardly reasons to go.

I wish I had taken pictures because this place was so freaking cool! Home Ground is a very cute coffee shop attached to a bar with so many places to sit- inside and out!
I was there around Noon so only the coffee shop was open but there were signs that live music was happening, in the evening, and I think that’s such a great venture for that!

The food was great! I got a basic chicken salad and a mixed berry smoothie and they did not disappoint.
The staff was super friendly and easy to talk to!
Where you order is a little cramped but it opens up so much when you get to the seating areas!
Right across the street from Carrier Park, it’s a great location! I parked my car at the restaurant, ate lunch, and then was able to walk across the street, walk the track, and lay in the grass!
Amazing experience and I will be back!

Bee Nice gardens and landscaping

If you don't like kids and dogs stay away from this place (and me!) Back yard area perfect for eating drinking and watching the kids (furry or otherwise) play. Home grown has been a favorite of mine for many years and the food never disappoints always so fresh.

This place has it all! Stopped here on vacation in Asheville for a quick breakfast and coffee and both were delicious! As a bonus, you can have a seat outside by the stream on a warm day. My boyfriend and I loved it here so much that we came back for lunch and another coffee before hitting the road and it was just as delicious! Stop on in, you will not be disappointed!
