I like the coffee, but the Camillus shop has an off putting smell to it. I kind of assumed the worker I almost always saw there had BO, but I’ve been there at different times and it’s still there. BUT, the workers there are always friendly and seem happy to serve really good coffee.
Coffee was fine enough but super expensive. $5.50 for a medium cappuccino? Yikes. Quite a lot more expensive than most places for a not super frufy drink. Maybe just my opinion, but there it is. Not much seating at all. More outside in the summer but in the winter there was one table and one long bar.
Very mixed feelings.... sometimes it's very good coffee and sometimes it's not. It really depends on the Barista. Today at the Camillus location I ordered 2 drinks one with Almond milk the other with dairy. Both were burnt (milk overheated) and the Barista did not tell us which was dairy or not until we asked. I'd like to continue coming here but will definitely find a different spot if this is a consistent pattern of bad service and disappointing drinks.
Exceptional coffee, every time! The staff are always so warm and welcoming too. A special acknowledgement to Maddy (sp?) Who helped me with an order while I was juggling my little one!
Met my first time home buyers here today for coffee. Had the best best blue eery muffin in Central New York. Village of Camillus is lucky to have a great local coffee shop. As a real estate agent I'm fueled on coffee. Camillus is lucky to have them
Most of the time I have enjoyed my experiences here, however on 2/23 the service was abysmal. When we arrived to the empty coffee shop, there was no one at the counter. We stood for a few minutes before the woman who was sitting at a table on her computer came and stood behind the counter, without any verbal acknowledgement, and did not engage with us at all during the exchange other than to tell us the total of our order.
This is my favorite local coffee place. Roasted in small batches and ALWAYS super fresh. I personally LOVE the Joe Heath blend. Awesome, fresh coffee, never bitter. If you don't love Starbucks, You WILL love this place 😁
Freedom of Espresso has good baristas and great coffee. This location is so new and modern you will definitely enjoy the visit. Nestled in the heart of "old" Camillus. This quaint little area had a little bit of everything except something that everyone needs... COFFEE. This shop was a much needed fixture put in just the right location. Prices are slightly high, but the coffee is so good you will want to pay them.

Ok coffee in an outdated coffee shop but with plenty of space. Service was ... good. Nothing about the place made me want to come back.
