Hillcrest Restaurant and Trading Post Saloon

Horrible Experience... if i could give you a zero i would! we waited 1 hour for our food and then when asking the server if our food will be out shortly she said its coming right up. we waited 20 more minutes being respectful and still nothing so we got up and said asked for them to cancel the order. few things we notice while sitting down: A gentleman also canceled his order because it took too long to be brought out and a couple that came in AFTER us got their food before us.

Clean and well maintained restaurant . Tasteful and abundant breakfast . Comfortable and friendly environment . Our waitress was very nice and attentive .

Rude customer service from the gray short haired lady from the very beginning. Quickly turned off. My family and I didn't even make it into the restaurant before we decided that we wouldn't have a pleasant experience. Get a new hostess.

The food here is fantastic. Everything is from scratch, even the sauces like tartar and cocktail sauce. The green chili is the best we've had in the four years we've lived here. The service is always great. I have NO complaints at all and highly recommend!!!

Parts of our food was OVERCOOKED, The steak was OVERCOOKED, The beans was VERY DRY, IDK what kind of meat was in the Taco, and parts of it was COLD. I had BETTER Frozen food that was Way BETTER. I DON'T recommend that place. Next time We WILL be dining at Pinos!!!! SMH

Terrible. 20 minutes just to order. 35min to get our food. Rice was not cooked, tamales very dry. Canned corn as the vegetable that wasn't even warm. The rib eye steak was over done and tasteless. We do not recommend.

Food was pretty good. Servers were distracted and did more socializing than serving; it was hard to get their attention. Our server never looked at us, but looked around the restaurant the whole time she was taking our order and serving us, and then chatting and joking with the other servers while ignoring our attempts to get her attention. A little more personal service would be nice.

The red chile was good and the eggs were cooked exactly right. Staff was nice too.
I have 3 stars because it took an hour and a half to get our breakfast.

Not sure how this place stays afloat. The people weren't bad but the food was almost like it was premade. Got charged for a kids meal which was supposed to include drink and ice cream. Never got offered ice cream and got charged separately for the drinks. Adult meals were supposed to include a to and that didn't happen either. Won't be going back.

The only reason I can give this place 2 stars is because the staff was really pleasant.
However the green chili sauce that I actually thought was brown gravy didn't settle to well ,I actually missed an extra day of work
