Waitress was great. Food was awesome! Sorry no pictures. We ate every bite! It was so good I actually bought the coffee cup I used. Easy 5 stars

I came for breakfast. Had the almond joy pancakes. They were absolutely amazing. You only get two but is more than enough. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Waitress was a nice person. The place is really small/cozy so if you try to come during peak time, understand that things may be a lot slower (seating, food, etc), especially in the middle of a pandemic. They are humans after all. The cook is amazing though. Thumbs up to them. Food is a bit pricey but it is forgiven because the food is top tier.

Went there this morning for breakfast during our vacation. We were told it was going to be about 20 minutes for a table….45 minutes later, we were seated. You can see the same situation in other 1 star reviews too.
We were excited to finally sit down- didn’t get to order for 10 minutes, then it was a solid 45 minutes more until our food came out. At the time we ordered, there were only about 6 tables seated…absolutely no idea why it took SO long for them to make the food????
To make matters worse-we were never checked in on for the entire time we waited for our food- no refills on drinks- nothing.
We absolutely will never return- so disgusted about the whole experience!!!! AND the food was mediocre at best and the waitress was really snotty!!

Don't think. Just go. Delicious food, awesome atmosphere, and coffee that will wake up your soul. If you're looking for that perfect New England breakfast, go here.

Visited North Conway for the first time in quite a while to show my Brazilian immigrant wife the Kancamagus and fall foliage that she hasn’t seen much of in the time she’s been here due to the pandemic and travel restrictions. We tried a few different breakfast places before settling for the Stairway Cafe. They all had waits of 1+ hours at 11am on a Sunday. No big deal - that’s the world we live in for now and we needed to eat something. We put our name in and walked around the main strip and browsed some interesting shops while we waited. I was pretty hungry by the time we were seated. Ordered traditional breakfast of eggs over easy, home fries, sausage and toast. Unfortunately their idea of a traditional fried eggs is awful. I don’t know what they fry them in but it’s definitely not butter as it should be. They weren’t runny - in fact one was slightly over cooked and the yoke started to harden, but they had this strange slippery-ness to them as if they were cooked in some sort of oil. Gross. I ate them because after the long wait I was starving. Cooking eggs in oil is fine if you’re cooking for yourself in your own kitchen, but when people come out to have breakfast at a restaurant they expect traditional eggs the way most people eat them. On top of that the home fries were soggy and the toast was not buttered - instead it was laid down in the pan to absorb whatever was in it. The staff was very nice and friendly, but we won’t be back next time we visit. Probably the worst breakfast I’ve every had at a breakfast place.

Quaint place, cute atmosphere. Would not recommend the crab cakes, suggest ordering the omelets with no onions.

Very cute spot. Cozy. Nice staff. The elk sausage breakfast was the perfect pre-hike meal. Great portions. Tasty without being covered butter/grease. Highly recommend for your fuel up prior to hitting the mountains.

Breakfast Burrito is amazing! All their food is great. I love coming here once a year. The 3 ladies are great and kind and upbeat, I think they're sisters or related. the vibe inside is very much like you're at your favorite aunts house and she about to spoil you with great service and even better food. Thanks chef in the back that no one ever gets to see. Thanks for the great food!!
