Mates this was such a unique breakfast spot. Name fits perfectly as soon as you walk in there is a stairway that leads you to the Cafe :) The staff was amazing, very attentive and always checking in, extremely polite. Me and the lady chose to eat on the outside deck (there is plenty of inside dinning) and it was such a great experience enjoying breakfast outside while enjoying the scenery. Food was great, prices were good. 110% recommend checking out if you're in the area!!!

Such a cute little cafe! We sat outside in a hot sunny day with no shade we was fine with it. But waitress should at least brought us water I had to ask after 25 mins of sitting under the sun. View was nice and food and coffee was good. Waited kinda long just for breakfast little over 30 mins.

Such a gem, glad we found it! Great menu and large portions. I ordered the banana walnut pancakes with real maple syrup. So delicious. A must stop for breakfast lovers.

Amazing little spot with beautiful views! I had their Rainbow Trout Eggs Benedict special and it was so delicious. A must stop for breakfast or lunch in our town!

The food at Stairway good but I'm just not sure it's worth the service. We were pressured multiple times to order quickly, then the food took over 35 minutes to arrive, and after my first beverage when I sat down, no one checked in again on a refill. Not once the entire meal. We had to request the check we were so ignored, and never got a single "thank you", even after we paid. After a weekend of great service, this place was a huge outlier.

Got there at 12:05 for two people. Told 15-20 wait. Didn’t get seated til 1235, okay, no problem. Waitress took orders within 5 min. Good.

Here’s where it went south. One table of 6 got seated 5 min after us, and another table of 3. Both tables got served before us. An 20-30 min goes by, the table of 6 gets served food. 10 min goes by, the other table gets served food. We ask our waitress to check on our order and she does she said they’re working on it now, explaining that a “wrap” takes longer to make than a burger so that’s why they made theirs first. Another 20 min goes by and finally we get served. By this time my coffee is cold. Food comes, the table of 6 gets up to leave. Cherry on top: the meal came without my Homefries! Honestly, the food was fine, but we were so mad we didn’t enjoy it at all.

We finished our meal, and not once did any waitstaff acknowledge or apologize for the ridiculousness that just happened.

This place is not worth the wait anymore, and I’ve been going for years! Honestly, I recommend the Sunrise Shack instead.

Absolutely LOVE this gem of a cafe. It’s local, the staff is super friendly, and the food is to die for. My husband and I were on our honeymoon in North Conway and we were recommended this cafe from a staff member at Adventure Suites. We went the first day and then loved it so much we went the second day again.

Ambiance
Feels like a local farm house vibe. The artwork and accents were very Homey.

Seating
It is a smaller place about 5-6 tables inside and an outside porch seating area that fits a few people.

Service
Service was great, the waitress was kind and had great recommendations. Food came out decently quick.

Food
Veggie omelet- cheesy and hearty cooked perfectly. Toast was thick and buttered. Home fries were also cooked well and not overcooked and mushy. I ordered a Duck sausage with my meal and it was extremely tasty. They have different Gamy sausages you can try which I thought was unique. I was so full I didn’t get to finish my toast
Lobster Benedict - I had this the second day, it was also mouth watering and filled me without feeling over full. The hollandaise was light and creamy on top of The poached eggs and English muffin. I highly recommend this dish if it’s still on their menu
North Country hiker- my husband had this dish which was two eggs any way you like it with home fries and sausage. It was well made AIM’s tasty. First day he had regular sausage links which he didn’t like as much. Second day he ordered it with Venison sausage to try and he liked it but preferred the duck sausage.

This is a cute little place with very friendly staff. We were in a hurry but were vegetarians.. the staff accommodated our request to not have any eggs in our food.. the food was delicious and the ambiance is soo fun.. it’s right across from the Conway scenic railroad!!

This is an amazing place for breakfast. The ingredients are fresh, and the taste is out of this world. Beautiful seats on the second floor balcony, and the layout flows nicely. The service is wonderful, and there is plenty of parking available. Highly recommended for an awesome experience and great tasting food! Along with everything, the scenery and atmosphere is awesome.

A must visit for us whenever we're in conway. The ambience is very cozy and food wonderful. Home fries are done very well, and coffee feels fresh and delicious. Their elk sausage stood out, it was just wonderful- so very flavorful! Can't wait to go back for another brunch😊
