Inn at Ellis River is right out of a Hallmark movie. It's such a nice inn and perfect for couples or getting together with great friends. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the owners John and Mary are very amazing hosts. The amenities offered are above and beyond from a typical b&b. The breakfast spread is amazing and bountiful. I'd definitely visit again and recommend to anyone visiting the area
My husband and I came to Inn at Ellis River as a mini honeymoon after we got married just for a couple days. Leading up to it Mary was so fast at communicating and making sure everything was all set for us when we would arrive. She was so prompt with any questions we had. We had bought the chocolate strawberries and champagne which was such a nice thing to get into the room to. Mary also booked us a couples massage instead of me having to do it during the crazy wedding time. The staff were so friendly checking in was so simple which made it easy to relax instantly. Breakfast was AMAZING!! The bacon was fantastic!!! The room was so nice with the 3 sided fireplace and Jacuzzi tub and the river view. The bed was also very comfortable and it was well taken care of. We will definitely be back on our anniversaries!! Thank you for an amazing stay.
Steve and I had such a wonderful time at this beautiful inn on the river. The inn keepers John, Mary and staff were so welcoming. It is so cozy but so lovely and so very very clean. Our room was big with a comfortable king bed. We had the fireplace in our room going nightly- they also gave us a log to use. The breakfast is so amazing. Homemade granola, yogurt and fresh fruit. Then 2 different kinds of breads daily baked-we had cinnamon scone and almond bread- amazing. You think your done then the best blueberry cinnamon French toast and the most amazing bacon on earth- Steve loved it. I had the frittata that was so delicious and the best bacon ever- and breakfast is included. The inn is 5 minutes from Jackson skiing and Nestlenook for ice skating, snow shoeing and sleigh rides. Thank you John, Mary and staff for a magical weekend. We will be back!
My husband and I spent two nights at Inn at Ellis River. Upon arrival we were provided with a personal tour of the inn by the innkeeper. We were happy to learn that they have both a guest refrigerator and microwave, as well as coffee and tea available at any time of the day or night. They also have home made pastry offered through much of the day. We wished for a relaxed time, which the inn provided, with rooms for reading, playing games, or watching movies (also cable television in our room along with DVD player). It was nice in the mornings to go downstairs for my morning tea and watch the news in the quiet game room while my husband slept in. Our main ventures out of the inn consisted of taking the cog railway to the summit of Mt. Washington, shopping in the Conway area, and dining out. Our favorite off site restaurant was by far Red Fox Grille, perhaps a mile from the inn. Wood fired cooking is delicious, from pizza to seafood - quite a varied menu. Breakfast at the inn each morning was delicious, with a fruit and home made pastry option to start, followed by a delicious hot breakfast. The baked egg with tomato, oregano, and spinach served with bacon and sausage was memorable. Ask and they will share their recipes. Innkeepers and staff alike were friendly, pleasant, accommodating and very helpful. All and all a wonderful getaway!
We arrived on a Friday at the end of September and stayed until Sunday morning, using the Inn as a jumping-off spot to tour the White Mountains for the fall foliage. The Inn was comfortable and cozy. The owners, Mary and John, were wonderful hosts and Christine, who manages the place, was a real kick, with her various, themed headbands. The breakfasts were remarkable: fruit, pastries, quiche, bacon, etc. When you enter the Inn there is a sign stating: "Good vibes only". That is what we felt the entire time we stayed. This is a wonderful spot with warm, friendly people. We recommend it without hesitation. One suggestion: nearby restaurants fill up quickly. Make reservations before you come!
Great location next to the Ellis River and within walking distance to Jackson Falls. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. They have working fireplaces, but didn't need it yet. Close to several prime trail heads and hikes and a short distance to North Conway. Breakfast each morning included mixed fruit, granola, yogurt and pastry. You have a choice between an egg dish or a waffle/pancake dish. You can't make a bad choice.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night after two days of hiking in the White Mountains, and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious, with a huge Jacuzzi tub, a gas fireplace, and an incredible view of the river and mountains beyond. We are already talking about coming back up here, for the great hiking options in the area, and also the great hospitality of this gem of a b&b.
P.S. Order the bacon at breakfast. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
Conveniently located for a variety of activities. Beautiful setting. The staff was fun, friendly and professional. Inn and grounds well maintained and a wonderful place to unwind.
Owner is super friendly and accomodating! We told her we were leaving early to go hiking and we would miss breakfast so she packed us a bunch of yummy breads and fruits and granola and left it in the refrigerator for us! Nicest inn in Jackson!
This place is magical! It's so warm and friendly, like home away from home. The rooms are adorable, remarkably clean, cozy, and comfortable. The breakfast is DELICIOUS. So grateful for the wonderful hospitality. We look forward to returning. :)
