Best breakfast sandwich I've had! Fresh made! Iced coffee was great too, nice strong flavor!

Always 5 stars. This trip the gespacho was.out.of.this.world and the iced coffee is the best iced coffee I've ever had. On the way home bought a gluten free nut bread - Never have I had anything so tasty and gluten free. I have always felt welcome, the crew is always great. It's a family affair for us, four generations have been here. Really impressed with the fare and the atmosphere.

Fantastic place!! I like my coffee black and strong, and many times it is bitter. Not here. Great coffee, breakfast sandwiches and scones baked perfectly!
Staff is always pleasant and happy!
Nice atmosphere both inside and outside in the deck.

Amazing coffee house with cozy vibes.

Coffee roaster on site. Occasionally long lines but I take that as a good sign. Great egg sandwich. My wife discovered that the cubes in her iced coffee were frozen coffee cubes. Very nice.

Local roasting of a wide variety of international beans, great hospitality and gluten free options 👌🏼

Great little place. All we tried was worth the trip there: coffee, chai, cookies, veggie strudel. Smart use of old coffee - gets frozen into ice cubes for ice coffee drinks. Thats the end to the slow dilution of those drinks in the heat.
They roast their beans as well. We went back next day on our way home.

I didn't expect to find great coffee and awesome breakfast/lunch food - and yet, here we are.
This part of the state is usually saturated with tourist traps or overpriced spots that are perfectly content with pumping out "okay" food and coffee. I wish I had a Mad River Coffee House near home for me, since it's an ideal balance between nice, house-roasted coffee, and an affordable grab-and-go or eat-in breakfast/lunch spot that's making crave-worthy food. If i'm ever back in the area, i'll make sure i'm either within close driving or walking distance of this place. Spots like these are disappearing across rural New England, so the ones still around are that much more special to discover!

Went there every morning during our vacation. Not only was is the best coffee I’ve ever had, but it’s a really cool atmosphere and the staff always treated us like we were the only ones there. (Even when the line was almost out the door). Highly recommend
