Stopped here on a road trip across the northwest and this place was great. The ambience was very cafe messy cabin like. The drinks and food are tasty and worth the wait. There is plenty of seating and the staff is friendly. So, if you are passing through, make sure to stop by and you won’t be let down. I highly recommend the mocha pecan pie!

Best coffee I've had in a long time. The two gals working were great. The blueberry coffee was delicious and not too sweet. I will go back next time we are in Missoula. Looking forward to trying a piece of their pie.

I have been visiting break espresso since 2016 and quite enjoy the environment. Cozy book store feel, with good coffee and lots of baked goods. There are always plenty of options to eat. The service is great and the staff is always friendly.

Break espresso Is one of the best coffee shops in Missoula! The rustic atmosphere and low lighting makes it an easy place to come and study for long hours or to meet a friend and play cards. On our last visit staff were all very friendly, coffee was fantastic and the pie was very tasty!

Love the pies and the location. Great place to meet people for coffee and dessert since there is a lot of seating. It's a big place. If you love berry or cherry pie, you must try the homemade pie here. I never visit Missoula without getting pie here.

This must be one of my most favorite coffee study spots in Missoula. The atmosphere is so calm and the coffee is always so strong. Once, the barista even remade my coffee because she thought that she did not make it strong enough. Amazing customer service and vibe!

The coffee is great and the staff is always friendly. I’ve never had a bad baked good either! A unique atmosphere that has a little bit for everyone!

The Break is a must-visit in Missoula. The coffee is reliably good and the pastries (made in house) are even better. I recommend Rick's Fruit Danish or the Strawberry Rhubarb pie.
For students, artists, and remote employees, the massive amount of tables ensures there's usually a place to stay for a while.
There's free wifi and water, which is really nice. The bathrooms are usually clean.
The lighting is kept dim, with table lamps, and the bright windows in the front, and the furniture is all old wood, so it feels like a really worn-in, old-timey tavern inside.
My only wish is that there were couches, since, the chairs are uncomfortable after a while.

Fantastic place to get work done. The atmosphere is calming and very open. Coffee is decent. Cookies are excellent!

Coffee wasnt great. Pie wasn't good. Friend with me couldn't eat due to no gluten-free options. Prices have gone way up since last visit. Also, the floors haven't been mopped in years - I dropped a damp napkin and it was black when I picked it up. Only thing going for the place is the historical building vibe/aesthetic and decent background music.
