We stopped in for coffee and had a great chat with the owner. I got his new specialty drink, Black N’ White N’ Woke which was delicious. The wait for drinks was a little bit of time (maybe 10 minutes)—but that is 100% what is to be expected at a small coffee shop where the creator himself is making your drink! It was packed in there and there was a good atmosphere. This is a great place for specialty drinks.

Great cafe for breakfast and coffee. Options range from smaller things like pastries to larger meals, like breakfast burritos and big portions of avocado toast. Lots of interesting coffee drinks on the menu as well. I just had a flat white and avocado toast, and it was the best breakfast I've had in a while. James, the owner, was incredibly friendly and walked us through the entire menu without us even asking, in order to help us figure out what we wanted. It's going to be hard to choose to go anywhere else in Livingston for breakfast after having been here.

This Cafe is the best place in Livingston to eat. The food ,the service ,the atmosphere!! The cook MS.Love is the best cook around.Everything about this quaint beautiful little piece of heaven in Livingston is amazing for our quaint little town. The owner that runs the place ,James he's awesome!! So happy this Cafe is here for the town to enjoy. Awesome sauce! Must go and enjoy yourself. Blessings and Love !

Honestly, enjoyed the place for a bit - the food is actually really good. But, it's a bit odd in a small town to be so agro about time limits at tables. This is LA stuff, not Livingston stuff. The owner mentioned something to me once and it put me off so I didn't come back for a while. I decided to come back, though b/c maybe I was being unreasonable. So, when I went back, I minded the time and tried to be sure there was room for other patrons. I even mentioned it to him, at which point he gestured to the table I was sitting at and said, this is usually a table that I reserve for four people. The whole thing just makes me uncomfortable. I pay for food and drinks, I tip well. It's a small town where people are generally super kind and everyone knows everyone...and I've heard of this happening to more than one person. Not going back.

I waited 45 minutes for a meatloaf sandwich with chips. Nothing but a bun and a dash of mustard. I was talked into how good this was after my first two sandwich choices were not available. Out of chicken and tri tip at noon hour. Honest to God how do you run a sandwich place when you are out of main ingredients by noon. Nice vibe in shop but service and prep lacks a lot.

Tru North Cafe is absolutely phenomenal! James is wonderful, the beverages were breathtaking and the Muffins were to die for. Had the egg sammie and I wanted more immediately. Truly a great experience when we dined there! Anytime I'm going through Montana I'm stopping by, I don't care how far the detour takes me!

The minute I walked into the place I knew it was going to be great. It smelled like I had just visited the best dream. There was a checker board for waiting. The customer service was great. The guy was so nice and funny. The whole room was clean and organized. And to top it off, the food was DELICIOUS! If you come here, it will be worth it.

This is one of those hidden gems of a place. I stopped in at Tru North after another breakfast place down the street had a line out the door and I was in dire need of a coffee fix. Made a great choice! Everyone behind the counter was great, atmosphere was very comfortable and clean, the coffee was really good! Most of all their "Sira-cha-cha Breakfast Bagel" Is probably one of the best breakfast bagels I have ever had! Just the right amount of heat and lots of flavor and texture. And don't be bashful about asking for more napkins, you'll need them... Thank you!

Wut!? That may have been the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. In a random place in Montana that I stopped on my way to Yellowstone. It’s a coffee house that serves breakfast and lunch. In NY, LA or Paris it would be up there in top places for food quality and taste. Don’t skip this place.

Wonderful ambience, staff, and food. So glad to have another place to sit down for coffee and a nice breakfast. The owners are incredibly friendly and the food is creative and amazing. The refried berry cake is a revelation. Definitely worth your time.
